Wow dude good eye... That cat is a fuckin ninja. It's just hopping from debris to debris.
Honestly, the first couple of seconds it does kind of look like a bird, but the last half of the animal's screen time it looks like a cat hopping from debris to debris.
I wonder how long it can keep that up. It looks pretty strong at this point and I know that the water hits the road and more or less stops at that point (but it probably swirls about a lot). Cats are known for their speed but I don't think they're known for stamina. Of course, if you're about to either drown or be crushed by debris your stamina levels likely increase quite a lot.
EDIT:
A couple organisations are taking donations for disaster relief for the animals:

If anyone still recall those 1~2ships in the whirlpool. The news just report that the rescuer found both ships, and all 113 victims are in safe condition.
Just relaying what they said man. Supposedly came from the Japanese govt so not sure why they'd exactly lie about it. Then again maybe NHK lied about the govt saying it /shrug
Edit: they did mention levels being so high they can't safely let people open the valves anymore, and are looking at other ways to open it (rotating people or robots).
Buildings rocking back and forth:
So many dumb shits saying the videos are fake. I dunno if their trying to be babby's first troll, but some are fucking stupid.
Guess they don't know that buildings are frequently built with flex-systems for just this situation (and can flex quite a lot at the top)?
Also, I ilke how CNN keeps trying to get me to install "Octoshape blah blah" for faster videos. Doesn't sound like something I'd like >.>
Ninja cat has no debris. At least he has a boat?
That was in the thread already on page 2 or 3. So strange how a picture of a stranded cat has gotten me so unbelievably depressed and kept me that way all day.
I've learnt all about disaster relief for animals today and that Tashiro Island (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tashiro_island), known as 'cat island' where a bunch of elderly people and hundreds of cats lived, was in the direct path of the tsunami.
Caesium found outside the reactor, and they are thinking it is possible the fuel rods have melted. Comes form the "Japanese nuclear safety committee" or something like that. Was far too long of a name for me to remember >.>; I'll try to write it down next time she says it and correct it.
Temperatures in the control room at the nearby Daini plant have risen higher than 100 degrees Celsius (212 Fahrenheit), said Noaki Tsunoda, a spokesman for Tokyo Electric.
Edit: Great it cut back to JP broadcast so I never got the name again. -_-

So like, I'm sure it's been mentioned in this thread by now but it's alot of stuff to sift through. Considering they said the reactor can no longer "Meltdown" but the core itself can still melt and release this radiation, what's the difference between the two? It sounds like people are gonna be fucked either way if the shit gets released into the air and the ground.
It is in meltdown (supposedly). I think the first thing you were referring to was a meltdown while the reactor was still running or something like that? TBH not really sure lol, but this has the potential to release radiation ~10km (again supposedly). When this was said it was with the stipulation that they vented it properly... which they aren't anymore XD Not sure how far it could go now.
Best bet is to just read this: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikiped...clear_meltdown
As I understand it this plant is 40 years old, and has had these updated safety measures retrofitted to it, and does not have a complete containment dome, but only a containment vessel. They are also worried the containment is not functioning properly due to damage from the quake.
Edit: Caesium and Iodine both detected now they are reporting.
Edit2: Saying the fuel hasn't melted yet, but the tube around it now. Then again it seems this news is all about 2-3 hours behind what is actually happening on the ground.
Wow, that tsunami-parkour cat is a motherfucking badass.
