Apparently there was a new earthquake south of Tokyo, near Mt. Fuji. A 6.4 quake that was really close to the surface.
taking bets on volcano eruption.
Iirc the one that erupted was a fairly active one anyway and didn't really hurt anyone. With the way things have been going for Japan at this point I would bet on a major volcanic eruption whose smoke blots out the sun and drops the weather to Siberian temperatures too.
I was wondering when they would get an eruption. Seems so likely with all that tectonic movement and pressure.
Didn't expect this

What's the rough estimate to fix all the damage? All of us at Nexon would like to express our deepest sympathy to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan last week. As a global company, many friends, family members, and fans of Nexon have undoubtedly been affected by these tragic events. It seems that every day, the scale of the disaster is growing, and we’re very concerned about the health and well-being of those that have gone days without food, water, and other basic supplies. To do our part in the global relief effort, Nexon will donate 100 million Yen (approximately $1.2 million) to aid relief agencies that are helping those affected by these devastating events.

CAPCOM as a Japanese gaming company, starting from Mar. 15th through Mar. 22nd we are going to drop the price of iPhone / iPod touch "Street Fighter IV" globally and donate all the sales to public charity.
People from all over the world, please unite with us to help people in the disaster-strick area.
USD 1 dorrar onry!
It seems like 100 million Yen is a common amount for big companies to donate right now. I know Aflac and Nikon both just pledged the same amount.
since were on the topic of gaming, anyone heard if miyamoto is alright? I half expected nintendo to have chimed in about all this.
From CNN's live blog.. I thought they were already doing this.
[12:40p.m. ET Tuesday, 1:40 a.m. Wednesday in Tokyo] Operators at the quake-damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant and government officials are considering a plan to use helicopters to drop water into the cooling pond through the damaged roof of the reactor building, according to a Kyodo News report. Concerns about hot radioactive fuel boiling off cooling water and catching on fire continued into Wednesday.
^ AKB48?
The donation probably announce by their agencies, not by themselves. Since the pay for each member in AKB48 is quite low... But so far, there is still no any news that i know that anything happened to any of them yet.

If you don't find "Shibuyaeggman" on the International Atomic Energy Agency's list of Japanese nuclear power stations, that's because "Eggman" is a dance club for indie and underground bands in the Tokyo district of "Shibuya." Sounds like a fun place to drink, have fun, and not evacuate due to a nuclear meltdown.
There's actually a club named Eggman? Is Dr. Eggman out front?
