where did I say I agree with it? I'm saying just because it happens on the forums doesn't mean I'll want to stop playing SE games.

Ksandra, it's not the only reason I choose not to play. And for WoW, I quit that game (a third time) too. But SE has always been extremely stupid with a lot of things. Perhaps using Starcade is a bad example because (according to him) he hasn't done anything illegal within the game, he's just extremely vocal. Though making threats against other posters is something they should take seriously.

I've just noted that SE tends to have their heads very far up their asses with regards to a lot of things. The fact that it took them eight years to bring up official forums and start listening to their players after 50% of their playerbase had already quit doesn't exactly help them look better in my book. Dealing with them is the closest I've ever come to beating my head against a brick wall. It's incredibly frustrating, and while FFXI was fun for the time I played it, I got fed up with their bullshit. And the fact that they banned my account over some retarded credit card fraud thing completely killed any credibility they ever had. Yeah. Four credit cards that all have my same exact name. That is definitely fraud, you fucking idiots.

That's fine, however, that is NOT what you said you your initial post. I wasn't attacking, it's better you explain more because your statement seemed extremely petty without weight.

I would counter your comment though about "taking 8 years to post official forums" only because look at what it gave us? And let's be honest, there's more than enough BG/KI drama to know it wouldn't have been much different if they had it years ago lol.

I def hear ya, but I kinda have a different take on it. I don't think SE is retarded, I think SE WAS retarded and think they're still recovering from it. Like this whole new crew they got for Abyssea n' shit have really been trying to fix things. But they can only do so much with a broken game, and now that they have to try and fix ff14 at the same time (lol). More than likely this new team is trying to just process everything and figure out what people have really wanted all this time (things like this new hnm spawn thing) that the old team never did about, and new ideas that few have mentioned.

Of course with such an influx I'm not surprised they still get a lot wrong. But the game is def improved so I give them props for that.


The forums, however, is like a whole other planet to me. Again 'cause of what I've seen on Wow, Warhammer, EQII, etc. etc. every last one of them have looked the same, so I guess I had low enough expectations for this one.

Girl, i completley agree with you. Remember squaresoft? They made some amazing games. Then the head got fired or quit because of some dumbass movie that bombed harder than Final fantasy XIV. Yes, it did even worse than ff14.

I hate the current state of ffxi, and did you guys see the recent post by community dev? Rebuying an entire collection of abyssea adds for the choco beret? That's really not cute. We already bought it and deserve it, but we need to rebuy them all for a gimp luxury item? I'll admit its dumb to bitch about, since its latent is pre-30. But i feel taken advantage of and insulted. Like could they make anymore obvious they are trying to milk us because they are in a snuff again financially?


IMO, ffxi should be free until abyssea isnt all there is to do. Hire Hironobu back, fire Enix employees and for god sakes please hire Isladar or Modzilla for your atrocious forum that represents our game..
