Since Rambus can't keep his sticky little fingers off the Report button, naturally my post got deleted. I did not write that post with any malicious intent.

SE, I fucking give up. Trolling aside, actual, substantive debate cannot take place if your moderation teams are unwilling to actually moderate the forums. Childish dickwads like Rambus are why it's impossible to moderate a forum strictly through the Report function. Also, you cannot shackle your admins/mods with strict policy. Please allow them to use common sense.

I probably have a 75/25 ratio of honest posts to trolling posts, and it's my honest posts that are being deleted. What the fuck?

And also Mention that the reason his threads get nuked is probably because they Delete a thread if there are enough reported posts in it, and he's basically shooting himself in the foot by reporting everyone.

I'm not sure, personally, as I've not even registered on there. However, from reading this topic since the first page, it seems like the 14 devs aren't just moderating the 14 threads. They're moderating throughout the whole forum. Thats just what it seems like from reading other people's posts. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

With /THF sub there are time for me it adds alot more DMG than /SAM in abyssea.

For example when i was fighting the mega boss cerb inside abyssea atlep i was there with another DRK/SAM using Caladborg his WS were doing 900-1.5k most of the time and i was doing 5k-6k WS which easily put me well ahead of him in DMG.

From my experience it has I mean I've even been in a couple of situation where it has been DRK/THF (with Espafut+2) and DRK/SAM (with Caladborg) and even with the empryan advantage i'm still well ahead because on the harder mobs your looking at 4-5X WS DMG.

It looked like the SAM got just under double the number of WS off and had alot more melee DMG (mainly cause his aftermath and all but he had like 10-20% more hits off overall) but me getting 4-5x More DMG than his WS push me over by a fair distance.

Critical hits now add 4-5x damage.

Laziness. Also, reporting posts = closing threads sooner, which is only beneficial if you have suicidal tendencies like Rombus or K-Pounds.

I'm really honestly trying to discuss something with Rambus in that "magic doesn't make sense" thread, and I think neither of us can read the others posts. He never seems to reply to (or read?) what I've said, and I never seem to understand what he says. It's frustrating and I'm not sure it's going anywhere.

Can someone check a few of those posts and make sure I'm not crazy?

I think my initial tests confirmed that, but yeah. I have no idea what Rambus is discussing.

So, I nuked for 32 damage without day bonus and with 24 MAB and 71 INT. If the spell's real base damage was 52 or 53, that could result from any application of elemental resistance and MAB.
If I nuke for 34 damage with day bonus, the only order that works (keeping our 52 or 53 base damage) is Resist -> Day -> MAB. I didn't do any fancy math for that, just made 6 cases and changed the conditions.

If I go buy a Water staff (Staff bonus is supposedly before Day/weather a la wiki), then I can move us one step further constrained in the equation by checking if it's 34 or 35 damage with a staff on.
