This whole business with Rambus (and others) reporting every single person that disagrees with them reminds me of Alla and their stupid rating system. I frequented the site when I first started FFXI and quickly noticed the way any disagreement with someone like that generally resulted in your post being rated sub-default not because it was wrong, or insulting, or even impolite, but because the retards there couldn't handle disagreement and finally had a tool to show their displeasure. For Rambus the report post button is just that. And the sad thing is, the mods fucking go with it, thus further inflating his sense of self-righteousness (which he couldn't spell if he tried).

It's the same thing as when they give Kingfury a glimmer of hope, honestly, but more destructive.

How I read this thread:
Post 1: Noble and necessary goal, pretty consistently bad ideas.
Post 2: Awesome. Fantastic. Me. Demonstrates a true understanding of economics and the problem at hand, with a philosophical concession to the casual playstyle. Responds to the request in the OP without specifically addressing any of his horrible ideas.
Post 3: Krabnuckle addresses the stupidity in the OP and proposes several more reasonable gil ideas, none of which are as awesome as mine!
Post 4-6: People want to reduce supply instead of demand because they're idiots.
Post 7: Swords requests more consumables be sold from vendors, as if having already killed off the rest of crafting wasn't bad enough.
Post 8: The OP agrees with me, making this the third best post in the thread.
Post 9: lolKaji has found the thread, and lawls ensue. I'd summarize his post, but I stopped reading his posts as a matter of principle ages ago.
Post 10-20: Back and forth between Krabnuckle, lolKaji, and someone else. They seem to agree that people would pay 2k/day and sacrifice inventory for a very low % chance to win consumables.
Post 21: I tire of this silliness and make the second best post in the thread, making it even more obvious why it's such a good idea and would be casual-friendly. I'm hoping the bold catches the eye of any SE rep that actually reads the thread, because they could pretty much skip the rest of the thread and just read this post to learn how to fix the issue at hand.
Post 22: lolKaji shows that he's retarded by paying attention to someone other than me

I did something stupid. I read through the "Revamp Elemental Spells to Be More Logical and Realistic"-thread. Now I have a headache.

I honestly don't understand Rambus' posts, I can not wrap my head around his English (or lack of), the bad grammar, the sentence structure (or lack of), the punctuation (or lack of), the typos (unintentional as they most likely are) - I just sit there wondering wtf is he actually saying? And all the while I got a voice in my head repeating "Volger Skillet, Volger Skillet, Volger Skillet"...

I've decided to try disagreeing heavily with stupid ideas while interspersing my posts with heavy compliments to SE in order to avoid getting suspended on the forums when I'm reported for being offensive (e.g. disagreeing).

Krystal and Naturebeckles failed to wear us down but Rambus is doing a good job of mental/emotional erosion.
