cap of 3 is likely from using 2 bits, and a single bit for the captain rank bonus giving +1. If they had a brain though they could make that be a +4 for captain and get the cap to 7, but i can see where the limitation in increasing the max would be.

Or they could change the freaking variable type in their database. As cheap as storage is these days, adding another few bytes per character isn't going to break the bank. They should just store the time of last withdrawal like stones.

Not only that, but apparently he is on my server... I just don't see the problem, if you are that unhappy with the current state of the game and think the "old" FFXI was so much more enjoyable, why not just quit??? Stop playing, stop reading FFXI forums, move on?

I'm sure there are several people here that are in the UK, and those of you that pay for FFXI with a Direct Debit card, please tell me if this guy is doing it wrong because I'm finding it hard to believe what he says here:

This is how it works with a uk debit card.

You login to pol.
You go to services and support.
Go to Membership.
You put in your SE password and one time password in.
then go to Content ID Contract Extension.
Then you pick your Extension period for 1 month 2 month or 3 month.

And each time you need to go though all that again and again and again.

Now for a Credit card its take out of your account automatically.
(I don't want a Credit Card that's why I'm paying using a debit card.)

Now with a Direct Debt.
The money is taken out of your bank account automatically every month on a specified date.

Now, I might not be in the UK myself, but I am EU and I have been paying with a Direct Debit Visa card since I started playing this game, and the payment has been charged to my checking account on the same date every month. I have never had to re-enter my payment info or extend my Content ID contract (never even noticed that there is such an option to be honest!) every 1-3 months either, only when I've been issued a new card. Finding it hard to believe things work differently in the UK.

But that's exactly what he is saying though, isn't it? That every 1-3 months he has to click on "Content ID contract extension" and then extend his payment period for another 1-3 months. Sounds so damn weird to me.
