I just had to check for myself, and I can't see a "Content ID contract extension" option anywhere. So confused![]()

I find this to be a little funny.
Didn't we just see a few years ago that was certainly not the case, and that the US Banks fucked some stuff up entirely?
I use to have to do the whole "Content ID contract extension" thing that guy does. I think it might be down to the type of debit card, I use to have a Switch debit card and had to do a contract extension every month. But since I got my Visa card, it does it automatically, so maybe the guy has a Switch/Solo debit card /shrug.
I'm reading the Decline thread now, wherein two players basically decided that old FFXI = Best FFXI and everyone with a different opinion is wrong.
I was amused they're both from the same server. But guys. Totally trust their opinions. One of them has two relics, they know what they're talking about.
Link me D: I don't want to go thread browsing for fear of being 100% retarded.
I'm making a new formula that accurately measures levels of "ffxi was only good before abyssea" and butthurt proportional to the number of relics completed before emp weapons existed. Bonus points if the relics used to be good, or if the person thought they were good even if they weren't.

It's a bit longwinded at times, but fortunately Akujima does us the courtesy of random BOLDCAPS that really draw attention to the only "relevant" things he has to say.
Probably accurate. Apoc DRKs who think that Empyrean weapons made the job falter deserve special mention.
if your credit account becomes locked for whatever reason and payment does not go through, you must reenter your credit card information to get back in. even if its the same card.
perhaps hes missing his regular payments.
I just went through and checked and pretty much every post by akujima I reported got deleted lol. I hope I got him a temp ban, fucking piece of shit, that'll teach him to report every post I make. Can't wait to do it again in a week or so.
Actually, scratch that I hope I got him a ban part, I'm pretty sure I got him one. Something I noticed: my sig is gone in my posts, I assume this is a result of my temp ban, since it was there before, and akujimas sig is also missing right now, so I think I got him a ban. Maybe? or maybe I just can't see anyone's sig or something, I dunno, I just noticed mine isn't there right now!
That would be me. I'm not shady or scared of constructive critism on my views. So let me ask you, are my posts off target so much? I believe ive made it very clear, i support abyssea and i'm glad it was added. It was long overdue. My point was, the dev. team really needs to move away from it and that type of under casual content. I stressed that point to an extreme level, but is my point off target?
I thought mostly everyone is in agreement with this. At least that's the vibe I get from BG.
Maybe you can clarify what part of my posts was off target to the point I was making. Besides the bitchyness.
I also said I don't want some of the older stuff to return as well. So im curious as to how you see what I said equals "old ffxi was just the best" like I'm whining for the old to return, nstead of balancing out newer, harder more elite content with ashittea.
Krabknuckle did a pretty decent job of summing it up, I thought, and I'm not sure if having the same argument/discussion here would benefit anyone. I think I'm gonna anyway, though.
I want to address the question you brought up a bit about what exactly was inaccessible. First, I'm not sure if Kings were as irrelevant as you made them out to be since Ein existed. If that was the case, those camps wouldn't have been so crowded. Second, Black Belt items being "easily" available through KS99 isn't accurate, either. Those drop rates are shit.
Third, and this is probably just my own experience and not the norm, is that "inaccessible" doesn't mean "unavailable." At least, that's not how I understood it being used on the forums. Ein is a twice-weekly event. As such, Ein shells aren't typically your social/normal event shell. As such, you've got time blocked out of the week to do Ein. This is fine.
What's not fine is a typically-primetime start time requiring, at best, a short walk through Nyzul, at worst, a boat ride that takes something like twenty minutes. No shell has a perfectly-oiled start time to always begin precisely at 8PM. So if you're going at 8PM, you're leaving for the event by 7:30? Maybe a bit later depending on the method of travel.
Gather begins at 8PM. Someone is always late. Someone is always on their way out of a party and waiting on a rep or something. Somehow things always get delayed. Regardless, you begin pushing the time required for an event well past the ACTUAL TIME for an event. It should never take upwards of 30 minutes to prepare for a 30 minute, maximum, fight. I tried running with two separate Ein shells in my career and always ended up just resenting being made to sit around and waste time. I'd rather have fun with my friends dicking around doing whatever else than grinding away at a long line of leaders and officers' wishlists before finally getting into the meat of my goals, but hey, I guess that makes me greedy or self-serving.
That sort of got away from me, let me try the short version: Accessible is referring to ease of access. A set of stairs is technically wheel-chair accessible, if you feel like dragging your ass up them without a ramp. Me, I prefer the ramp.
Further edit, actually addressing the post:
Abyssea got easy with the advent of atma and capability increased largely. That didn't stop people from getting their faces handed back to them before anyone knew Mercurial Strike caused Meikyo causing Zombie. That didn't stop Indrik from burning your face off upon being pulled. If the complaint is that these things are easy once you know the trick, then... That's the point, yeah? It WAS hard, now it is NOT hard. That's progression and mastery of something.
Harder content with no forced minimum player entry is the desire from bg, artificial difficulty is not acceptable. If you get the vibe that the majority of bg thinks older content was the shit, you probably don't read bg. I see no success in a strategy of moving away from casual content when realistically there should be an abundance of both.
When i retired from endgame was because I didn't have the time and it wasn't fun anymore. I always had the mind set, if i needed future abjurations, i could get them from einherjar so i didn't have to worry about king camping because it was irrelevant from a reward aspect.
In the last few ks99s I did, the black belt items went free lot and since abyssea, king camping has been the absolute last thing on anyones mind. I guess its a diference in activities and playtime but who here thought king camping was relevant to getting king bodies and abjurations? could have maybe gotten it faster, but you also had to do a lot more work. Not me, and I thought anyone seriously after dring/ridill needed to get a clue. They didnt even change the rarity of the black belt item. I think the king update was kinda pointless. The only thing realistically worthwhile from it is black belt and anyone who worked hard or tried, already had one. I don't count dring because it just so rare. It's not something someone should/could have planned on getting.
As someone who did all content, i really think unless you actually enjoyed camping/killing/competiing kings, yeah they were irrelavant. As for black belt, I mean it when I say I personally only knew people who didn't care enough about black belt who didn't have it.
And none of that caused the camps to be less crowded until the cap hit 85, so citing that as "unimportant" doesn't mean empty. People literally camped Kings right up until that gear was outright replaced, and Ein dropped out at the same exact time.
As someone posted to me before a couple years ago when I was arguing your exact same point of "no reason except for ridill/ring:" Why throw away a chance? The people running Ein shells WERE the people going to Kings. That's not to say that every Ein shell camped Kings, but I'd reckon that majority of people camping Kings did Ein. Of course, I only have one server's worth of experience in that regard.
Also, to clarify: Is that an acceptable answer to your question regarding inaccessibility? I know you brought it up a few times and was wondering if that scratched the itch.
Prepost-edit: What are you referring to exactly when you say they didn't change the rate on BB items? This is brought up right before mentioning the King adjustment being meaningless, are you thinking they're leaving the drop table the same post-update? I also take umbrage to your "Worked hard or tried has one" comment, not for myself, but for anyone who ever got screwed out of a drop rate or just unable to claim. I'm not excusing people who don't have it, I'm just saying that implying everyone who wanted it or tried for it has it, well... You are outright incorrect. Hard work doesn't always reward you, sometimes you just get shafted by something not dropping, or many other variables that could come into light. Someone working full-time without much time at the computer shouldn't be ruled out because you feel the game isn't "for them."
So instead of deleting my post the GMs just edited out the parts where I specifically named people as examples of the wrong thing to do.
*rolls eyes*
this at least acknowledges your information as being valid, while not directly hurting one anothers feelings.
which i admit takes the fun out of it, but they have a forum to uphold, i guess, has to look professional for the bosses who dont even know how the internet works, and how viscious it can be, yet entirely nessecary.
reminds me of the call centre i worked at, where the companys "real" scenarios were obviously fake for ustomer relations. edited to make him happy and not a raving lunatic because his intermet was down for 5 minutes.
also ipod typing, i lost my subject long ago
to clarify what i mean, you know those infomercials where people are total klutzes and are happy and smiling strangely at their new wonder product that will save them from their lack of evolution? like that
I'm not a disgruntled relic owner. I finished bow durign the second abyssea expansion. I just wish Ranger didnt get the shaft in abyssea, though most jobs can say that lol
I still don't know why they haven't removed the ability to use image sigs there.
