But way back before ToAU, people used to ask DDs to /THF for some fights, so that they could keep putting hate on the tank with their WS rather than getting the hate themselves. (Well, not RNG. Atma of the Minikin Monstrosity says hi. I think this is the real problem. Healers practically *do* always have capped MP and heals that are ridiculously mana efficient and very low hate. So it doesn't really matter how much damage the MNK or whatever is taking... you can keep dropping 1000+ heals on him every couple seconds and still be in no danger of running out of MP.
And by healers, I mean WHM. Because RDM and SCH *used* to be able to heal, but now their attempts at healing are completely laughable. At least SCH can nuke, but RDM is almost as bad off as PLD these days -- I won't make this post too much longer with details, but pretty much everything they were ever good at is either irrelevant, impossible, or they're no longer good at it. They're less bad at nuking, with the right atma setup, but still not really good at it.
