gear change? frankly i don't need gear changes to be a good player on my job...and the fact i was able to heal a full alliance plus nuke periodically without a single gear change(minus staffs for healing MP)proves that. i would say"gear changes are for noobs and make it hard as hell to heal them" but then i'd get flamed by the idiots who think"gear changing is what pros do!" so ya....i can't tell you how many times players have gotten killed becuase they switch armor so often it makes it impossible to heal them..then they scream at me"why didn't you heal me?!" and i'm like..well..gee...if you didn't switch armor so often like some noob who can't decide on which piece of armor to wear..i would have!

Topic title: [dev1009] TP returns adjusted

So I was looking at the dev notes when I came across this:

An issue concerning the accumulation of TP with weapon skills that consist of multiple strikes (i.e. Combo, Penta Thrust, etc.) will be corrected.
TP will be accumulated as usual for that weapon type on the first strike (first two strikes for hand-to-hand attacks or when wielding two weapons), with each subsequent strike accumulating 1 TP.
Accordingly, enemies who are the targets of multiple-strike weapon skills will only gain TP from the first strike (first two strikes for hand-to-hand attacks or when wielding two weapons).
Also, all elemental weapon skills, except for Starlight and Moonlight (which affect only the wielder or party members), will now accumulate TP when used.

Absolutely outrageous. Why is Square Enix nerfing Warriors, Monks and Dragoons? There was nothing wrong with the current system! Now instead of getting 10-16 TP and full TP per hit after a weapon skill, we're only going to get 1 TP (each subsequent strike) for the rest of the battle?! I understand the need to nerf TP burns, but this is going too far. This will dramatically slow experience and upset game balance. No one will want to play a MMO where you have to hit an enemy 80 times just to do a special attack!

If I am reading it correctly it doesn't change jackshit? It doesn't say 1 tp per hit for the rest of the battle, it says 1tp for the rest of the hits in the WS, like it has always been. Even the TP gain for mobs who get hit with a WS doesn't change because that has always been the TP you would feed in a normal melee round. Remember how people bitched about monks using asurans back in 2004 on HNM's because it would "feed so much TP"? I didn't have MNK until 2005 which is when I tested this stuff and found out that crap to be false.

This was really a dev note? Because nothing changes by the looks of it.
