Pretty sure when he said "themselves," he meant the Japanese as a collective, not just the company.

The phrasing of the sentence disagrees with that interpretation. The fact that people can donate money to Japan relief efforts in dependent of this idea disagrees with that interpretation. The fact that he's expecting us to pay the April bill disagrees with that interpretation. At the same time, the OP could just be stupid and not have explained his plan correctly. The US was TOTALLY involved in the war, idiot. Why don't you look it up? Even before Pearl Harbor, look at how much aid they gave to the Allies while continuing to declare neutrality. And I love the US, but every country has it's evils and goods, but it's so amazing to think there's a well grown adult like you that believes there's only good and evil in the world Good for you! You do know that when you compare casualties and deaths from Pearl Harbour as well as Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the US pretty much killed around 200% more people?
