Don't forget to set your clocks ahead an hour -- Daylight Saving time begins Sunday.

Technically the switchover doesn't happen until 2 a.m. Sunday. Time will fall back when DST ends at 2 a.m. Nov. 6.

Daylight saving time for many years began in April, but since 2007, it has started on the second Sunday in March and ended on the first Sunday of November, according to the U.S. Naval Observatory.

I was all pumped about changing all my clocks, but I think the only clock in my place that doesn't automatically set itself forward is the one on my oven. Even my alarm clock radio adjusts itself.

Time to get a new oven, I guess. It's behind the times.

my windows7 laptop and my ipod touch auto-updated by jumping ahead 2 hours instead of 1... scared the shit out of me.

Yeah I don't have much, just my oven, coffee maker and iHome that need changing. Also none of my gadgets jumped two hours, Pergo -- maybe your phone and OS need updating..? Only thing I can think of.

It depends on where your live. For me who live in UP michigan, because we were quite close to green bay, WI, we used to get the interupted clock signal from Wisconsin that results our cellphone go into Central time zone instead of EST.

I'd really like to hear the positive reasons for keeping daylight savings.

In my experiences all it does it piss me off for around a week until I forget it ever happened.

I see the need for timezones, but a single hour difference doesn't seem like it would change anything.

This is the best time of the year, it's the one where you turn clocks back that's the motherfucker. This way when you're driving home from work the sun isn't setting right in your fucking eyeballs with the plus that it's still light out at 7PM when normally it was pitch fucking black.
