Amazing read, pic I posted barely has any of the info lol.
After "Chaconne," it is Franz Schubert's "Ave Maria,"...
...
BELL ENDS "AVE MARIA" TO ANOTHER THUNDEROUS SILENCE, plays Manuel Ponce's sentimental "Estrellita," then a piece by Jules Massenet, and then begins a Bach gavotte, a joyful, frolicsome, lyrical dance.
Wow...
I've seen Bell twice in concert, I'll pay well to see him again if he comes back to Portland or Seattle. It's shocking to me that the average 30-50 year old in that station didn't at least recognize Ave Maria; they should feel ashamed of themselves.
And for you uncultured BGers, listen to Pavarotti:
Ava Maria is the shit.
What is it about conductors always looking like they just got out of bed?
Bebop Ave Maria is the best version.
I'd stop if The Seatbelts were playing in a subway.
Saw this grungy dude playing Elm once at the mall a couple years ago, was fucking spectacular.
Spoiler: show
Fuck this thread because now I'm spending the next hour youtubing the Cowboy Bebop OST.

tl;dr the guy who wrote "Friday" is the random black rapper in the video who also happens to be the founder of the company![]()
Yall ready for Stephen Colbert's version of "Friday"?
Fallon tells viewers that if they raise $26,000 for DonorsChoose.org, his "BFF for six months" will perform the song with his house band the Roots.
Want to hear Stephen Colbert sing Rebecca Black's "Friday"? Better open your wallet.
The Colbert Report host recently auctioned off a painting of himself for $26,000 to benefit charity and subsequently announced on his show that Jimmy Fallon, his "best friend of six friends," was planning to match the donation.
The only problem? Fallon hadn't actually said that.
On Tuesday's Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Colbert made a surprise appearance to urge Fallon to donate to DonorsChooose.org, which helps classrooms in need.
Ultimately, Fallon got back at Colbert with a "promise" of his own.
"If we can raise $26,000 by this Friday, I will promise that my BFF for six months, Stephen Colbert, will come on this show and sing Rebecca Black's 'Friday' with the Roots, and that is a promise that I am making from him to you," Fallon told viewers.
To donate, visit DonorsChoose.org, which noted on its website that "this is not an April Fool's joke."
They already hit the goal!!
honestly, when I got to the $32 part I thought it was going to be like about how "poor homeless musicians" actually make a bunch of money or some shit lol
oh and yeah Colbert mentioned it on his show, apparently they'd gotten like $6k in a week or so, and then when he agreed they got over 26k in a day lol
Wow that was kind of amazing.
So that's the fate of American Idol winners? Performing a song that has been ridiculed by the internet on a late night show?
LOL, that was awesome.
Ok, that was pretty funny lol. I'm not normally a fan of Colbert's show but whenever he does something like this it's always funny.
Had they excluded Taylor Hicks it would have been better but that was still an awesome performance.
