I'm such a picky eater but I love this show. Almost everything he eats looks good. I guess everything unless he's in India or some parts of Africa.
Seeing those trash pickers in Nicaragua was hard to watch last night.

excellent show, i don't watch it regularily because i don't know the time slot but when i see it in the guide i put it on.
my favorite ep recently was in NYC going to all of the different shops that have been there for 100 years. the steak house at the end was fucking amazing not to mention the chinese food place with the secret menu was quite awesome as well even though i would never eat that shit.
also liked an ep when they went to uraguay and ate nothing but meat at this one open market/restaurant. they just kept eating meat non stop my stomach hurt from watching how much food they took in.
Love this show.
Watching the hoards of trashpickers raking through what seemed like an ocean of garbage on Bourdain's trip through Nicaragua was pretty tough. Shit like that sets the world into a whole different perspective and shows how much we tend to take for granted. I also liked the monologue that followed.
Plus, Bourdain seems like the type of celebrity you could kick back and have a beer with.
Travel Channel always has some great stuff on and Bizarre Foods is another great show. I almost wish half the time I could try or at least smell some of the stuff that gets put on display for the show. Andrew Zimmern truly is a tank.
Number 2 manliest men in my book.
Good show, awesome person.
Love the shoe, watched every episode a bunch of times. Almost all of them are on Netflix streaming. I'm really interested to see the Haiti episode coming up.
The new season so far has been exceptionally depressing. Maybe Bourdain was feeling guilty about having a show where we watch him travel the world & eat food(which he kind of touched on in the Nicaragua episode). I love the show but please no more social commentary Anthony.
^ lol
The world isn't all uplifting? You got to see a good balance of terrible shit and positive stuff all at once.
I feel the social commentary helped to legitimize the show and it doesn't take away from the real purpose of the show - food and Bourdain conversing with the people.
It's like reality TV... with the real in it.
I'm always watching his shows on netflix. I watch one every now and then and I still haven't had a chance to see them all lol. Love his work, his shows have made me want to read his book soooo bad.
I was so happy when I finally got to watch the show in HD. I enjoy Bizarre Foods too but I watch it more to get my "travel fix" instead of getting both my food and travel fix from NR.
I love this show, Anthony Bourdain probably has the coolest job in the world.
Will do!
A Cook's Tour is another good book he wrote about his first travels for TV.
Apparently when he was in Cambodia he ate Happy Pizza, but the network producers cut it.
I saw that part on TV so it wasn't cut.
anyone got some links to grab the new eps from? Im always having huge problems finding this show![]()
Ah ok, well I dunno the article his FB posted said otherwise.
Yeah, the Happy Pizza part was on there when I saw it.
