I remember when I was in sixth grade this asshole would always sit behind me and kick me in the back (gap between the seat and the back rest. One day I waited til he was kicking and held out a pencil, went a good inch and a half into his leg. I of course got suspended for it, but he never kicked me again.

In middle school I got "bullied" a lot, but people were scared shitless of me. According to rumors I was incapable of feeling pain, I was homeless, and I watched my mother die in front of me. I had waist-long hair, long nails, people called me "It" not him or her, people thought I was either a chick or a hermaphrodite (I was in the process of growing up so I looked very weird and androgynous. I was tall and freakishly anorexic, jutting bones, dark circles from never sleeping or eating, online 24/7) I looked like a crackwhore, and people were convinced I was gonna go Columbine on everyone. My teacher even asked me (I shit you not) if I kept my nails long to snort coke. Some girl almost raped me because she wanted to see if I had a dick. I was even expelled because the principle heard the rumors and I was forced to have a psychological evaluation. In highschool I became a pretty hot normal-looking jock-esque type, and as such I no longer had any problems. The butterfly metamorphosis was complete.

Makes me appreciate how docile my highschool was, though when there's only 100 people per class, I guess that might be expected compared to a larger school. There were only a few fights while I was in high school and most of them were between the kids from the halfway house. I never witnessed any physical bullying and I was never victim of it, but that's the benefit of being 6'5" from the time I was a freshman. Most of the "bullying" in highschool was verbal, and calling it bullying would be a stretch, it was more like a battle of wits, trolls trolling trolls type thing.

I got jumped by four middle school kids while I was in elementary school at random lol, but they maybe threw one or two punches. Then in middle school (not at the school, though) I told some kid to stop being a bitch and we got into a small fight, I got the worst of it but he came to my house like an hour later to apologize and we ended up being best friends until I moved away. Had another fight during some backyard football in middle school where I made a comment that this kid couldn't play QB to save his life, he took offense, grabbed me. Cop car drove by, asked what was going on, everyone said we were just wrestling since it was during the WWF/WCW obsession phase. Cop drove away, guy threw a right hook, I ducked under it, came back up and knocked him in the nose and he fell. My friends proceeded to jump on him while I walked away like

Those are the only fights I've ever been in, I consider myself fairly lucky.

Ya, my high school had a grand total of like 400 people, where about 150 were 7th/8th graders, lol. I can't say I was ever bullied, since most of my friends were brothers with the seniors, and we generally all traveled together for sporting events. Even in elementary was pretty docile, we were all friends from JK to grade 8. Shitty for people that got picked on, I suppose I lived a fairly sheltered life compared to most of you guys.

I wonder what response, if any, comes from the bully and his parents, especially seeing the volumes of support he's getting worldwide for this.

Only response seems to be a lawsuit agains the school and the beast and his family.

Yeah, I was thinking that maybe this overwhelming response would cause them to withdraw their lawsuit seeing as how it's bound to be supported worldwide. The video shows more than enough evidence to prove self-defense as well, I don't think it has a single chance in hell to go any further regardless.

The optimist in me thinks they'll drop it, but the realist in me that knows that two parents that would condone their child acting like that then presume to take legal recourse to keep his ego intact says otherwise.
