I do want to know, however, how it is they choose people for the roasts. It just seems so random.

They have their crew of miscreants (Lampanelli/Gottfried/Ross/Oswalt/Cummings/Giraldo Replacement/Sarah Silverman etc) that sub in depending on availability. Then they get celebrities that have some show biz connect to the guy or need some publicity. (although this time seemed weird, I can't figure Snoop's presence besides token black guy?) And then the host is someone close to the guy (i.e. Stamos @ Saget's roast) or again some guy they hired for the occasion.

Whitney Cummings apparently had one that was too hot for Trump/Comedy Central, because it was about evicting 1000 black guys from her vagina to build a housing development (since Trump actually does that kind of shit)

Didn't they make 3-4 of those jokes? I didn't watch it from TV, but what I saw was still censored and I remember them touching on this topic with a few of their jokes.

Snoop was from Flava Flav roast wasn't he? Maybe he just enjoyed it and wanted to do it again. But yeah, popular insult comics and various celebrities is the usual.

Yeah, they pretty much did. And it's not like these jokes are new, they always talk about Lisa's huge gaping vagina full of black dick and Whitney being a cumguzzling slut. It's predictable as hell but still fairly funny.

The thing is, Sitch couldn't do real roast comedy. If you are cocky/awesome you need to be able to be self-deprecating (that's why Trump's joke about his hair during his part at the end brought down the house), but Situation can't really do self-deprecation w/out ruining his Jersey Shore persona. Alternatively, he needs to have some sort of vulnerability or self-acknowledged flaw to be an insult comic, the way the rest of those social rejects do and he doesn't which is why his set came off douchy. The jokes themselves weren't completely unfunny, just his delivery sucked and nobody bought it b/c he made it seem mean for real.
