13% DA and 15% TA would give a hit distribution of 72/13/15 = 1.43 average. OaT is 32/53/15 = 1.83 average, +28.0%.
... though OaT may be less given I'm not so sure I should be simply adding the DA there...

You shouldnt.
0.15*3+(1-0.15)*0.13*2+(1-0.15-((1-0.15)*0.13)*1) = 0.45+0.22+0.74 =1.41 Thats Empy
0.15*3+(1-0.15)*0.13*2+(1-0.15-((1-0.15)*0.13)*0.4*2+(1-0.15-((1-0.15)*0.13)-(((1-0.15)*0.13)*0.4))*1= 0.45+0.22+0.59+0.45= 1.71 OAT (this .01 difference is from that I'm doing it in Excel using several cells instead of writing something like this)
Are you allowing for the fact that proc priority goes highest=>lowest, not lowest=>highest as previously thought? Bear in mind that I am not very good at probability stuff (never formally learned any) and the above formula looks a bit confusing...
Ok in simply way then ( with rounding):
15 attacks from 100 will be triple leaving us with 85 left - 15*3
13% from those 85 will be double, which is 11 double and 74 left - 11*2
Those 74 left will be single - 74*1
So we have total of 15 triple 11 double and 74 single which is 45+22+74=141 total attacks and that's Empy
15 attacks from 100 will be triple leaving us with 85 left - 15*3
13% from those 85 will be double, which is 11 double and 74 left - 11*2
40% of those 74 left will be double (OAT), which is 29 attacks OAT and 45 left - 29*2
Those 45 left will be single - 45*1
So we have total of 15 triple, 11 double, 29OAT and 45 single which is 45+22+58+45=170 total attacks and that's OAT weapon
I can't write it simple then this sorry.
Can triple attack/double attack proc on a Magian OAT's double swing like Jailer weapons? Man it sucks that ToM dont proc on Jumps like normal OATs do? Sucks that Joyeuse/Kraken/Mercurial etc can proc with Jumps but ToM can't nor do can they probably proc DA/TA.
no to jailer like behaviour, yes they do work on jumps.
I don't know if it was found out or not, I'm working with 2 year old knowledge, but are we sure that TA and DA are calculated separate from eachother? Like, instead of TA being 15% out of 100, then DA being 13% of 85, but rather they are both 15% out of 100, and when their procs coincide with eachother, TA takes priority. Also, would this difference even change anything with the numbers?
Wait for real? Corseca +2's OAT can proc on Spirit Jump/Soul Jump??no to jailer like behaviour, yes they do work on jumps.
It's probably a random number generator that runs numbers 0-99. 0-15=double attack, 16-28= Triple Attack and 29-99= 1 swing. Or something along those lines in layman terms. If the RNG falls on 29, it's single swing. If the RNG falls on 12 its a DA, if the RNG falls on 24 its a TA, if the RNG falls on 87 its a single swing. That the easiest way to explain how the probability works. Realistically it's more complicated but if you have 5% DA and 10% TA, you will TA 10% of the time and DA 5% of the time neither interfere with eachother. I imagine neither would interfere unless you had something like 95% DA rate and 15% TA rate, I wonder what would happen then. Maybe someone could test that with a WAR with an OAT weapon and full DA build with a TA atma. Unless DA/TA have a hardcap(which they probably do/should)I don't know if it was found out or not, I'm working with 2 year old knowledge, but are we sure that TA and DA are calculated separate from eachother? oh crap! I was already getting an OAT lance(Gathering baby blobdinags) but was told it didnt work on Jumps, but now this renewed my fervored interest. Stupid LL/Blobdnigag cockblocking my OAT ><
Which reminds me, can I solo LL as DRG/BLU. Or Shoggoth on RDM/NIN by pinning?
Will change nothing that's exactly what it is.
You can see it in this way too. With 13% DA 13 attacks from 100 will proc DA but from those 13 attacks 15% will proc TA and they will take priority leaving you with 11 DA(same as in math I posted). It's same thing just calculated other way.
Where is the pin in either zone exactly?
I'd have some doubts about DRG/BLU solo as well, but I wouldn't be too suprised if a well geared and skilled DRG/SAM could zerg him down. He's pretty squishy now. Third eye typically works well on mobs with low delay/high multi hit. If TE lasted long enough to get off a few ws it might just die.
Now, I haven't tried this, so if you decide to, its at your own risk. But I do think it may be possible. And a hell of alot faster than rdm pinning. The worst part really, is just getting the bastard to the pin spots. -_-
Could just buy some antidotes and elixir/elixir+1 and you'd probably be fine
If you were using antidotes for LL's poison, you'd have little time to do anything else. As he hits fast, TA's often, and the proc rate on en-poison is very high.
If you're stuck on LL try /sh in port jueno. I think a lot of player tend to be stuck on these trials and it really only takes 3ish DD to make the zerg very easy. I have seen LSmates join these shouts just to get the shit done.
Pinning isn't as much help for Shoggoth as it is for other VNM. It's usually better to kite it as it frequently casts GaIII spells, which you can outrun if you're kiting rather than pinning. It takes a little bit of practice, though, since it immediately depops if you're out of casting range when it uses chainspell. You really need a MDT set for Shoggoth's chainspell, even at 90. It's a piece of cake if you're appropriately geared, though, and it was done frequently and easily at Lv.75 as RDM/NIN.
As for Lamprey Lord, I don't think it's a good idea to try it as DRG. It hits Lv.90s for 200 DMG in melee gear and it double/triple attacks often. The poison can hit for over 200 HP/tick.
