I'd say it took around 20~30 minutes, maybe less. I'm not really sure, I didn't time it. Damage was decent, was using attack food and likely had capped accuracy as long as I wasn't Blinded (which is still very potent.) In the few times I was able to use Blade: Hi safely (i.e. not dumping my TP,) I did about 1400~1800 damage (assuming the main hit was a crit.) Really though that's just from memory, so it's definitely a qualitative number.
I changed my builds mid fight because I wasn't satisfied with my evasion. I wanted enough to be able to ride Ichi and have Ni up for when it did Hurricane Wing. I think the following would probably be ideal.
I think this would come close to capping your evasion while maintaining good TP accumulation (which is necessary because it has Regain anyays) and also has 49/50 Subtle Blow that can be augmented through Yurin & Myoshu.) I don't have Sekka +2 and I didn't have some of the other gear in my macros at the time, but I still managed it.Code:Main Kannagi Sub Sekka +2 Range Ungur's Boomerang Head Iga Zukin +2 Body Usukane Haramaki Hands Usukane Gote Legs Iga Hakama +2 Feet Iga Sune-Ate +2 Neck Torero Torque Waist Twilight Belt Back Boxer's Mantle Ear1 Ethereal Earring Ear2 Suppanomimi Ring1 Epona's ring Ring2 Raja's Ring
In regards to Tiamat. I'm wondering how a SMN might fare these days. Soma's Staff +2/Agni's Staff +2, Caller's Doublet +2 and Caller's Pigaches +2 is enough to reduce the perpetuation costs for Leviathan or Ifrit to 1 MP/tick. Auto Refresh II, Moonshade Earring, Caller's Horn +2 & /RDM would put them at 7 MP/tick Refresh while their avatars are out too. It's a net MP gain of 124 MP/minute (accounting for Refresh casting cost,) without any kind of Elemental Siphon trickery I know nothing about. Could that be enough, coupled with Convert every 10 minutes, to take it down?
