Not sure as I haven't tried, but didnt someone solo byakko on rdm pre 90 cap?

I've read in a few places that Byakko is soloable by a NIN/DNC.

I heard a nin/dnc solo'd all of them. Think they posted vids on FFXIAH, most of them took well over an hour though lol.

Byakko was soloed by RDM (Avesta, I think) at the 80 or 85 cap, I forget which.

Yea I'm sure but he probably bind/dot/kited/nuked and didn't straight tank with shadows(or he might have). In any case taking on a god by straight tanking without shadows is impressive even if the amount of mitigation that RDM/BLU gets with Pro5/Phalanx/Stoneskin/Cocoon/DarksteelSet/Genbu shield is a bit much hehe.

How much damage does Suzy do per hit? Think it's possible for a drg/blu or /rdm to straight tank those two (ignoring 2 hour for now)?

Side-note: seems the majority of Avesta's solo videos have vanished from YouTube. Don't really care myself, only reason I noticed is because I sometimes like to listen to the trance-y music used in the Seiryu video.

/blu would be easy but depending on luck -ga and AoE coud kill a wyvern ( tho maybe if you are fast enough you could run from -ga so only you will get hurt while wyvern will stay engaged) but yeah I have no idea how you want to live through chainspell.

I meant to add Suzy in there as well, what about her? Paralyga could be annoying as fuck, might need to hold onto TP for it specifically. But other than hundred fists, any ideas? I have no idea how much damage -ga III/flare could do with a proper fire resist set/MDT? Hell I don't even know how much MDT drg could get. The problem with the -ga is that drg operates at low HP, so it's not a matter of getting 1 shot from 100% HP, it's getting 1 shot from 50% HP
Edit: and I completely forgot about enspell damage, how bad is that? Edit 2: forgot about the silence effect on rad breath, echos?

super jump > head butt > leg sweep > jumps for TP > leg sweep > head butt if ready > 2hour > repeat? maybe you can get lucky

Afaik, on HNM, headbutt has fairly low acc, legsweep spam could work though.

doesn't matter anyway, just remembered TP from 2hour will likely be low /mage so you prob won't be able to spam enough

You can still get Tp from Jumps, and another super Jump available as well. The problem with that is that you lose all curative abilities from wyvern for a minute. This might run into Random question thread, but I assume MDT-% > +MDB > resistance + items.

Thing that sucks is the inability to Shell yourself if you /blu, /rdm would probably be the best for phalanx as well to absorb some more damage (and barfire), whereas /blu is better for physically damaging monsters.

You can get shell from the FOV manuals in sky, though I'm not sure if it'd last for the whole fight.

Well if nin/dnc soloed byakko then theoretically Kirin should be trio able by a whm+nin+nin

iirc the Avesta duo was at 80 and the solo was 85. I know Rog did it solo at 85. Seconding what Tsuko said about the RDM/BLU solo; iirc the majority of the damage taken in that solo was from the en-effect so if they'd landed the wind then it would have been even easier.

How are resist rates vs the gods now for a NIN/DNC? I was thinking about trying Suzaku but I was concerned about healing during Chainspell.

Ya probably pretty easily I'd guess. Still might take a while and you might have to kite it at points if your Whm is getting low on MP.
