Laptop Parts
Anyone know a reliable website to order laptop parts from? Preferably cheap within reason.
I recently got a new laptop and I want to sell my old laptop but before I do, I need to replace the motherboard.
Any and all responses are appreciated. To be slightly more specific, the old laptop is a Dell XPS.

not sure where you'd get this besides dell or ebay, sorry

Google pulls up results (IE http://www.parts-people.com/index.ph...ategory&id=143), but I've personally never gotten parts outside of directly from Dell, or scavenged from another laptop in my office.
Given the nature of laptop motherboards, your two basic routes tend to be OEM, or someone who is parting out laptops. Neither tends to be especially cheap - may depend in part on how much you figure you can get for the machine.

Appreciate the feedback. I did my own search, however for laptop parts, I have no clue what's the best route/site to use. Gonna use the site you gave me Isiolia, thanks again peepz. I'm pretty sure I can make some money off the price being offered since the only other part I might need to replace is pretty cheap and I've had the Dell for years.

Buying parts direct from oem tends be very expensive, in fact, more expensive than the thing whole would probably sell for. If it's anything aimed at businesses, like dell latitudes, you can find heaps of their parts/batteries on ebay (note: "new" batteries almost always tend to be china knock offs, but they at least last a couple years at ~1/5 the price). The consumer ones might not to be as available, but search around for parts that fit. There used to not be as much internal differences between some dell consumer and business models where quite a few parts could be interchanged (like mobo if the holes/screws line up), but I'm not as sure about more current lines.
Really need to research your specific model more. Craigslist is also a fair spot to possibly find parts - a cousin of mine simply posted on there and was able to get a reply within a day of someone within like 20miles of him that had his exact laptop model, but with a broken screen, to use for parts a few years ago (guy simply gave it to him for free, he just had to drive to pick it up lol). You might not be that lucky, but it's worth a shot at least if nothing else turns up.
