Hello. I am sort of new to BG forums. I been reading for a long time. I quit for two years and rejoined again in August of 2010. I got some jobs to level 90 and am looking for people or a linkshell that actually goes to events, not just does them. Anyone can plan to do something, but having people show up is more desirable.

I been in two endgame linkshells and was leader of a Dynamis Linkshell many years ago. I am in a good linkshell now, but desire more. I never got to do a lot of the content that is out now besides Abyssea. I want to do Salvage, Walk of Echoes and even finish the actually missions for the expansions. I am finished RotZ and CoP. I am still early in on ToAU missions. I would like to do Nyzul Isle and Assault as well.

I would rather not to start a linkshell but I am considering it an option. I want to see if people would be interested or have a linkshell I would be interested in. Thank you much .

I am bumping this because I am looking again, but I think I want to transfer servers. I think I will give a bit more in depth.

Main job has always been Paladin. It's just hard getting into a LS as I do not have an Ochain, Aegis or Almace.
Second job is Dancer and Third job is Blue Mage.

Paladin is decently geared. 4/5 AF3+2, the head is 3 Cards of Vision away from +2. I have a -PDT set, but wish to get more. I been working on Magian sword for Damage minus and got Dark Rings, but only -3%. The swords I have could be better. I have Creed Baudrier and collar. Working on Earring at the moment as well.

Dancer is decently geared. Angr Harpe and Twilight Knife, Twilight Belt, Atheling Mantle, Charis feather and necklace, 4/5 AF3+1 and feet are +2.

Blue Mage is geared. Isador, AF3+2 2/5(Body and legs) rest are +1. Mavi scarf and tathlum. DNC and BLU can use some of the same gear so it's shared.

I did finish ToAU missions and Nyzul Isle. I been working on Weaponskill unlocking. I have a Rajas Ring, Ulthalam's Ring, and Ethereal Earring. I have most Atmas including Apoc, RR, MM, SC, Impreg, Mounted Champion, etc. I have all jobs that are 75+ fully merited and I am sitting on 20 merits 9999/10000 merit points.

For Almace I am on the Helms stage and have 6/50 helms and 6/50 Sobek skins.
For Ochain, I am still on the first stage and only have 5/50 Iron Plates.

I am hoping for a Linkshell that needs a Paladin. Does events a lot and not wondering what is going on that day. A Linkshell that doesn't talk down to people.

I hope to eventually get it an Aegis or an Ochain, that is the dream.

What I am about to say is in no way condescending or meant to injure your feelings:

Before coming to these boards you should work on your character more (I realize that's what an ls is for, but listing +1s is not a good show of competency). It's fine that you love pld and that you have goals for it, I'm not going to slight you for that, but I will tell you that what you have is basically useless to most shells.

I would suggest taking time to level nin, war, or thf as well as a support job of some sort. Not being versatile at this point in the game is choosing not to succeed, especially with how easy it is to get 90s. Once you have a more solid base of jobs you can start making moves into LS' (for example: most have lax, at best, standards for most support jobs so getting in on that and building your character from there would be easy). You're not going to get into any ls or group that is even close to top tier with what you have to offer, so start thinking about how to make yourself more desirable to a group. There's no shame in starting in low to mid tier LS' to build your character and it's something you should seriously consider. I'm not exactly sure how many of those types of LS' browse these pages (there is a huge "elitism" stigma for lower tier players that make them refuse to even consult these boards) but I wouldn't count on a response.

I do have 90WHM SCH RDM BRD COR DRG BLM. I have +2 for BRD and some +1. I have +1 for most of the jobs. I should have been more specific. I will use any job as needed. I just wish to use Paladin every now and then . I did sound, well, I can't think of the word, but I think you understand. Thanks again .

I have been leveling WAR and NIN as it's 63 and 65 respectively. I will keep working on them.

To add to what Kidnoftle has said, I think you might find more success for these events that you have listed by shouting to find people interested in the same events. Salvage, missions, assaults, nyzul, and WoE have never really been mainstream large LS events but rather small static group events.

Well, you did tell me you had no desire to play your brd so I didn't invite you. Maybe if you leveled jobs you actually wanted to play instead of advertising that you had them like every other person on FFXI that wants a LS you would be better off getting a shell? I don't know.

I am not good at quoting, I am not use to the boards so I will reply per paragraph.

Michelob, I have been doing those missions via friends. I was hoping to make more friends by joining a Linkshell. I should have have been more specific, my apologies.

Colenzo, I will go whatever job is needed. Our conversation was short, but that is my fault as I do not own a keyboard. I have a chatpad for my XBOX 360. I end up not adding certain things which make me look unwilling to do things. I will go as whatever job is needed. I would honestly rather gear my Paladin and Dancer if possible. I don't want to go into a Linkshell and just get Bard or White Mage equipment. I did level the jobs I wanted to play. I leveled other jobs just due to boredom. I doubt I will ever really use my Scholar when I believe my White Mage is much more proficient at healing and Black Mage at Elemental damage. I enjoy leveling jobs, I think it's fun. I miss the old days of getting a 6 person party mechanic, but things change and it's been for the better at least in FFXI (my opinion, anyway). I advertise them because I will do what is needed. I like watching other people play the jobs I like to so I can critique the way I play my favorite jobs. You just seem mad at me for what I typed on here. I didn't mean to offend anyone.
