Change the location you're unzipping it to (just change the target folder name).

sucks you can't log on to pol, I need to do some updating but since it's a steam install (new since servers went down) it can't even tell that I have ffxi installed for me to force a file check ; ;

I was able to get pol updated a bit ago, though, which I haven't been able to for about a week til now.

Mine is the same also...I used the torrent and says I have like 5000 files to update.. I am assuming that is correct?

You can't file check FFXI from POL until you've gone through a file check during XI startup and fired XI up the normal way.
