    Why does Netflix Canada suck so much? The selection is shitty as hell compared to the US one

    Well canada has different laws regarding copyrights so they couldn't just turn on the US database for canada, they need the rights from the studios all over again for every country which takes time and money. Add on top of that canadas laws are so lax most US companies don't want to release still profitable shows/movies in Canada until months after its been released on the US site.
    But they are doing good, the site just went up here recently and every week the database is growing exponentially just don't expect newer movies/shows to pop up on canadas site as fast as the US one.In fact some US studios are pressuring Canada's gov to change the copyright laws by threatening to push back theater releases a few weeks/month.

    Because it only recently arrived in Canada and like the US one it will probably take a while to get up to speed. I dont remember instant streaming always having good content in the states ...

    Anybody else get the 3% credit email from Netflix for the disruption ? Just got it today and I totally clicked it!.. even if you werent affected and clicked it, how would they know!?

    I don't think they would really know without checking your viewing history, which would probably take time and resources. However they do know they fucked up and decided to own up to it with the credit refund for everyone, affected or not and I think that's cool.

    This regional? My wife has netflix under her email and she hasn't received anything about a 3% credit.

    they keep emailing me wanting me to sign back up. I switched to blockbuster for their superiority though and i'm not going back!
