I'm free whenever. I'm not under 21, unfortunately, but I hope that doesn't mean I can't come hang out ;(

I don't think he was asking to exclude those over 21. More to limit the meet up to places that someone below 21 could attend. I'm 27 myself.

I am out of town on the 4th weekend...got row 2 tickets for Rush at the Gorge!! I am over 21 but that's fine. If anyone is interested in playing some "just for fun" indoor soccer on Sundays, let me know. It's coed and really fun. Can also drink $2 beers on site. Keep me in the loop, I am always out doing something and up for meeting new people!

Places like Gameworks in Seattle can cater to both young crowd and the 21+. If you haven't been there yet, you are missing out.

LOL the boys are out golfing right now. The weather sucks, so I am home until the US vs Mexico soccer match starts later.

@Ddz : Where do you go for indoor soccer? I know my husband LOVES/LOVED indoor soccer. I've never really played, but love playing outdoor soccer... I wouldn't mind getting back into soccer, indoor or outdoor.

Anyone going to the Pride Parade tomorrow? I was just at the Pride Festival in Capitol Hill.

Hiked to the top of Mailbox Peak today with a bunch of people. So awesome.

Pride parade or Super 8, I can't decide tbh but it's leaning towards Super 8 since that involves less movement. (sore!)

Arena Sports SODO - the league I am in is just for fun and not so srs, so it makes for a fun time.

Weird, I am doing that on the 9th (tentatively) - is it as difficult a hike as my friends say? lol

If you are out of shape it might be tough. Otherwise it's definitely doable. Eat light but bring food, like a full lunch, lots of water, etc. Don't pack too heavy though.

For reference, hikers generally consider a 19% grade 'steep' (1000ft elevation / mile). Mailbox peak is over 1500ft/mile (33% grade) for most of the way... so it's not anything to laugh at. It's a good 2 hour hike both ways, up and down. Feeling at the top is pretty amazing though.

Not sure if its still like this, but we tried going up to lake serene a few weeks ago and where stopped about a mile from the top. Snow was so bad some of the people in our group couldn't make it up without a lot more hiking gear. Kind of disappointing since I've never been up there yet.

It's getting crazy hard to get into *any* grad program at the UW, and doubly so if you're getting a BA/BS or Masters at the UW; they really, really, really hate keeping their own. Still, the closer you get to a 4.0, the more likely they'll keep you on board.

I'm sitting on a 3.86, starting senior year now, and the head of my department (history) basically told me that with the budget cuts, it's going to get even harder for the next few years. I don't really have a shot at the UW PhD program, even if I get solid 4.0s through graduation.

Then again, the UW has much more of a hard-science/medical focus than the social sciences at this point, so there might be more openings there.

As mentioned, financial aid is getting severely hit, and TA positions are worth your weight in (currently severely overpriced) gold. Good luck, though.

I hope they hate keeping their own for their medical program. Go WSU! lol.
