I'm more of a pilsner person, so I'd vote for Rogers. It's a bit lighter/not as bitter, and won't shroud up any taste of the food as much as the Pale Ale would (I'm not a beer expert, just going off the pale ale's and pilsners I've had in various places before)

I'm going to post the content of the last email here to entice other BG'ers into coming:

I've been debating which butcher to go with and so yesterday I did a blind taste test with 6 people between Double D Meats (also known as D&D) and Bill the Butchers. The cut was tri-tip, both were grilled at the same time at the same temperature and the testers didn't know which one was which. It was 5 to 1 in favor of Bill the Butchers. So Bill's was the place that was decided on.

I picked up from Bill's:

2lb. of Rack of Lamb
2lb. of Lamb Leg
3lb. of Tri-Tip Steak
2lb. of Top Sirloin Steak
4lb. of Pork Chops
6lb. of Cornish Game Hen

From D&D Meats:

6 Peach and Chipotle Sausages
6 Pizza Sausages
4 Habanero Sausages
2 Spinach, Mushroom and Garlic Sausages
2 Green Onion Sausages

From University Seafood & Poultry:

3lb. Filet of Wild & Local Coho Salmon

Finally from QFC:

20 ears of white corn

People are bringing:

Potato salad, spicy tofu, ribs, fruit salad, home made soft pretzels, a "dessert" (idk what), grilled pizzas, chips and dip and roasted potatoes, deviled eggs, cookies, a caprese salad, a sushi platter and watermelons and more!

We decided on the keg, I'm getting 1/2 of a keg of Manny's. Get there early, it'll be first come first serve on the meats. If you get there late I can't promise you anything. I'll see everyone tomorrow!

lol, no worries. Thanks a lot for coming. I'll have a BG movie night and drag you back here, that way I won't be split between 30 people. For those of you that cut out early, the cops were called on us between 11-midnight. We moved everything back inside and then the guitars came out. A few of the musically inclined started singing and a few of the more comically flamboyant were dancing (drunken swing dancing). Party lasted until a little before 2am. I was up until 4ish with friends before I finally passed out. Fucking awesome party, you guys are always welcome over here.

I laughed so hard when people were cheering Rachael's name when Dan was the one doing the keg stand, lol. I feel bad that they mixed her up with a guy who dresses like a girl. Sorry about dissapearing with the motorcycle, but when a cute girl wants a ride it's part of the moto-code for the man to oblige. :D

@Furt I didn't think it was you Daniel, I've known the other Dan forever and I'd never get him mixed up with someone. I guess I should have been clear which Dan it was, I didn't even think about it.

@Weiing He's the type of person to do things to be different. He's a gay hipster, so he's got a strange combination of counter-culture. Dan's not transgender, you could say he cross dresses, but I'd say he does it more to stand out rather than some deep desire to do it. I don't know if anyone had a chance to chat with him but honestly he's one of the most entertaining people to talk with at the BBQ. He handed out his number to like 5 people he met that night (on the basis of being friends). You can defiantly use the pronoun 'he', he'll laugh if you refer to him with female pronouns but he wouldn't get offended.
