I Just watched this movie, this has film of the year written all over it.

I loved all the little nods to the original movie & the fact that it really didn't go near anything that was the tim burton abortion movie.

It wasn't an action movie that's for sure, I think that's why some people are disappointed in it. Most of the film's script was communicated with no words.. I thought that was amazingly well done. And..

Total chills when Caeser says, "No!" Perfect timing too, because I rolled my eyes at the "damn dirty ape" line initially.. but then after Caeser spoke, I was like.. That was a great use of the line.

this one though, I remember the scene where ceasar jumps out of the bushes and tackles the neighbor, when he says no, when the apes were escaping through the glass ceiling, and.. probably some other ones. But damn it was packed with emotion - great writing and directing.

Movie was hands down one of the best I have seen this summer, and i've seen most of the releases for the past month and a half now. The emotions conveyed with just the eyes set this movie apart, the parts with the speaking at the end were really well done and I liked how Cesar refused to actually kill people.

Not really. It's more of a story of Ceasar growing up and what makes him become who he is. It's great to see a movie that far exceeds your expectations.

I was very skeptical at first also because I assumed that the movie was going to be about monkeys taking over the world. My initial reaction was "bunch of monkeys vs machine guns, yeah right."
However, the movie actually revolves very little around fighting. Trailers made it seem like a Tim Burton v2 in the past, with monkey armies vs humans.
The movie is actually about Caesar and what he goes through and it sets up a playing field at the end where you can imagine how the apes take over. It's actually very well done, it's not over the top.
If you're looking for an action movie though, you will be disappointed.

It was pretty damn good, crazy monkey action all over the place. Monkeys looked pretty real, couldnt tell they were fake.
