I dunno. I played it for awhile and it didn't seem to be a worthwhile game to play. You could always invest in Lord of the Rings Online. I may be a little opinionated due to the fact that I haven't paid any subscription for it since launch, but I imagine you understand what I mean. Great story, great method of bringing the story to the player, and so on. PvP with Player Vs. Monster Play is great too. You get to run around the Ettenmoors as a Spider Weaver, Uruk Blackarrow, Orc Defiler, Orc Reaver, Uruk Warleader, and Warg Stalker on the side of the "Monster Play", and every class on the side of the Players. Both have great rewards for participating! The in-game store isn't too atrocious. You can't buy everything, so there is a meaning to your grinding. I think there are tomes of stat increase(Like +1-2 INT), experience buffs, and a few in-game mounts(leaving quite a few to be worked towards/for). Either way, great game. Much better than Fantasy Earth Zero.
It's fucking Middle-Earth.
When did Fantasy Earth get an NA release? I remember it appearing in POL Viewer for Japan years ago, then getting moved over to GamePot instead of PlayOnline, when it was renamed Fantasy Earth Zero, but I never heard anything about it outside of Japan.
It was released for North America on May 18th, 2010. I was playing it around May 23rd, 2010. I never really got a feel for it. Didn't have that FFXI kind of feeling to it, got bored, never logged in again. It appears the servers went offline on March 21st, 2011. Also, huh! This thread was up awfully high for one made on March 24th, 2011. Well...no matter!
Hahaha I wasn't saying that it was THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD.... what I liked about it was that it DIDN'T have the in-depth story/plot/character development and completely soul-sucking grind that other MMO's have. It was pretty much something I could just pick up during FFXI maintainences and then drop immediately afterwards. Of course I didn't have the stupid awesome weapons or killpower that the hardcores had, but then I just stuck to summoning/mining most of the time anyways since that wasn't hampered by character level.
Wow, so it wasn't even widely announced. I liked the character art for it. It was released in February 2006 via POL Viewer in Japan, and then taken off POL Viewer and handled by GamePot instead in 2007. Took it long enough to come out here with very little news...
We had a BG guild and everything going on the FEZ beta when it was announced for over here =P
Shit, you guys lasted a whole day and a half longer than I did.
