Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (New RE Game)

Looks like its gonna be shit and further tarnish what they once had for RE. Will just become another FPS meat head game for zombie killing instead of survival horror.

I'm sort of the exact opposite. I don't think RE4 was going back to the roots at all lol, and basically turned the series on it's head with the ammo thing. It first irritated me how easy it was to get bullets in 4, but the style grew on me. I absolutely loved 5 though because of local co-op mode. I can agree the game was shit if you didn't do co-op, but if you did it's fucking awesome.


I wouldn't mind more retro REs, but I hope for more local co-op ones because they are so hard to come by.

I made this post simply to second this. I welcome the idea. Its not like we've had a "classic" RE in awhile anyway. I'd like a fresh take on the franchise.

I would LOVE an old school RE with local co-op, possibly where you get split up for more than 30 seconds. I kinda miss the old camera angles because of how scary they made the games. Don't get me wrong, I loved RE5 because I could play co-op with my best friend who is almost as equally awesome as I am at RE games... But they're too easy. I want to be chased by 10 zombies with 2 bullets in my clip, that's a damn survival horror. This game can only end in failure.

Sounds interesting, I'll definitely at least give it a shot. I'm not as emotionally invested as some people seem to be with the RE franchise, so this definitely doesn't have the possibility of ruining anything for me, at the very least.

I'd probably be interested in this considering I never played RE2/3 because they never finished redoing the HD versions on Wii? or was it the cube? I can't remember lol. I absolutely loved the remake at any rated and so long as it the gameplay doesn't suck I think they'd have a good product to sell.

They never started to remake 2 or 3, they just straight ported the psx versions to GC.

The fuck is with Capcom outsourcing like... all of their games aside from Street Fighter lately? Shit's getting silly. I guess they must be making a bigger profit off them but it just feels like a terrible idea in a lot of instances. Or maybe I'm just bitter about DmC still.

i agree that alot of capcom games are now Notacom but i like the new dante look so far but guess we'll have to play the waiting game

Well considering Capcom isn't doing this game, I'd say RE6 is still on the way to continue the main story. Unless you're saying you want outside studios handling the main story.

as far as I'm aware the new DmC that isn't been done by Capcom is just a "path" of Dante's childhood since his teens are missing from a lot of the past games but by the looks of it his in a mental institution guess you can't keep telling people your the son of the devil and hope people just shrug it off
