Beyond being only 1080p, I can't find anything about refresh rate or response time. IPS means it should have a decent color profile, but for a gaming screen if I'm dropping over $150 pretty colors are not enough. You want a good refresh rate (i.e. 120 or 144hz) plus a fast response time for shooters (2ms). I personally think it's pointless to have a good card giving you above 60 fps if your monitor's refresh is lower than that.

2ms vs 5ms could mean nothing, monitors manufacturers advertise bonk numbers for response and contrast ratio. Input lag can also vary greatly, even for expensive monitors.

TFT monitor reviews is where you want to go if you are looking for very accurate and technical testing.

TFT doesn't have the model, only a slightly higher and slightly lower end model.

Checked a few more things and it's showing either a 5ms G2G or 14ms G2G depending on where I look on the site.

You can get same output for gaming for under $1500.

i5 4690k will get your the exact same FPS in games, similarly it's got a 1050W PSU for a single card... that doesn't even draw a huge amount of power in the first place.
Just an idiotic build really.

Agree with Gryffes. That build is just stupid. If a 980ti is wanted, Newegg currently has a MSI version for $570 after rebate. Can get a $25 AMEX statement credit too if using AMEX. Too much to type so I'll just link the slickdeals post with instructions.

Sorry for the double but forgot to ask, is this for pure gaming? 4k right? Any other specifics you use the machine for? Also, is there a budget?

I don't have a budget, but I'm not interested in paying $3-4k when the only game I'm actually looking forward to is Everquest. 4k gaming is what I'm looking for though, yes. Basically, if it's not a MMO, I'm likely just going to play it on Ps4/X1 regardless of my PC build.

I'd go with something similar to what's below. Price would actually be $30 less when purchasing the 980ti I linked above. Psu allows for future sli if wanted. This definitely isn't the best price for this build, but for components this is something I personally would go with if I was building brand new today. I already have a 4690k build and I can't justify going to Skylake.
