Thanks a lot of the info, yes i have a microcenter about 30 mins away. I've never heard about this Pascal, so i'll look up stuff about that. No i don't have a budget really. I was thinking about 3k, but going higher doesn't bother me. I just don't want to spend money, just to spend money (Like getting the titan Z instead of ti just because it cost more, so should be better type shit).

Edit : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CWWqt6 (I changed some things after seeing the above build by Kalmado)

FYI I will be getting a second monitor later, I really just want to try out a few once i have the PC before i pick the one i want.

Very nice, Updated my build it with :http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CQgMsY

Also changed the RAM, better cost for the same amount of ram/speed

Now i have a ticking clock because that deal ends this weekend lol.

Edit: I'm looking my list up on the microcenter website (Which lets you look at your stores inventory also... nice) and wow. Almost everything on my list is at the store, for the same, if not better price. Someone might be building a computer tomorrow instead of next week....

Would you mind reworking this for the best i5 (is it the 6600K now?)? I'm also building a new pc and your build looks great aside from the fact I don't really need an i7, don't plan on streaming and from what I know i7s don't really do shit for gaming anyways. Can drop the hdd too, have 2 I'm gonna porting over from my current machine, I do need a SSD though. I'm fairly useless when it comes to knowing which hardware is best/compatible.

I'd just swap to the I5-6600k and a motherboard you like. I'm partial to MSI and Gigabyte. Regarding SSD I'd say get the cheapest 240+ except Kingston V300 series. Samsung is the highest quality, but at the highest price. Crucial is probably the best value. Constantly check Jet.com for SSD deals using promo code 20NOW for 20% off total order for your first order. If you already use the promo code just create a new account. Right now Tigerdirect.com has $25 off $100 using Visa Checkout (can link any card to Visa Checkout) and Newegg will have $10 off $100 or $25 off $200 starts on 11/23.

Thanks, also finally realized what your sig is from. I liked the first movie better tbh, because it was more consistent with the quality of fight/action scenes, but 2 definitely had higher highs.

Samsung EVO 250 GB was on sale for $75.00 a couple weeks ago. Looks like it's still low, around $80 on Amazon.

Gonna go with the 1k build from the video. Wanted to know if all that shit would fit in a phantom 410 case I really like the design on it and would like to keep it.

Needing a computer for my mom. It'll just be used for playing on the Internet, saving pictures, and Facebook. Would like to keep it under $200. Thought maybe it'd be cheaper to buy a prebuilt. Any advice or suggestions?

I'd keep an eye on slickdeals for possibly Dell refurbs or Newegg cheapies. You could also do a Pentium G3258 build for pretty cheap, overclock it, and it would be pretty damn capable. If you lived close by I'd sell you my htpc for cheap!

Below is just going off of what's available on pcpartpicker.com. Cpu cooler is just for price point. I would not advocate that. You could even do without it. You could also go down to 4gb ram, but for the price, why not 8gb.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

    CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor ($49.99 @ Micro Center)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Vortex Plus 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($19.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-H Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($29.99 @ Newegg)
    Memory: Team Dark 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($29.99 @ Newegg)
    Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($39.10 @ SuperBiiz)
Case: Silverstone PS08B (Black) MicroATX Mid Tower Case ($31.45 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($14.99 @ Newegg)
    Total: $215.50

She has a dslr and photo printer. Both of which cost more than her PC. She needs a PC. I looked through the newegg refurbs. Seen some, what I assume, 2-3 generation old i5s. I honestly don't know what is worth having in a budget range. It's easier to build a gaming rig than a budget rig. I'm familiar with high end parts. I have no idea what the hell an e8400 is capable of.

Id actually swap that HD out for a SSD. She wont ever fill it up, will be fast, and no worries from it shitting the bed due to power button shutdowns.

Yeah thinking about it a 240gb ssd would be a much better purchase right now for someone who isn't going to fill the drive.

    Depends what you play.

I'd rather get a 21:9 for most games, 4k if you play DX9 games, and 144hz for FPS games.
