tbh I can't say, I would imagine there is enough room but I have a H50 in mine so it barely takes up room on the mobo.

Oh you have a Corsair H50? I thought you had one of the coolers you recommended xD How is it? I see reviews where the H50 has lower temp for a OC full load build compared to a OC full load build with a fan. H50 kept it around 62ish full load OC to 4

I have one as well. IMO, it's okay at best - an air cooler for the same cost would probably do better. Probably suited more for when you can't fit one.

It was ok at launch but quickly fell behind, and the others in the series apart from H100 didn't compare to anything else out at the time, even then the cooler/heatsink part takes up double fan slot so it can only really be used in full towers. But yeah as said above they were nice because they didn't take up much room (not in the same way big air does anyway)

What do you guys recommend for me using a mid tower and I plan on OCing to 4.0 out of all the items mentioned?

It will fit in a Antec 902 (Pics here) although it's a tight fit.

I think HAF X (HAF something at least, not 100% on which one) is another common case that people use.

Interesting... After seeing how bulky that is and how it barely fits I'm sorta leaning towards one of those Hydro pumps... hmm

Just read a review on that pump, it's good but very noisy (needs to have fans up high to compete) and more expensive than the Noctua. At one point it was compared to a 6970 at 100% fans which isn't good lol

Hmmm maybe it's best if I pick a different case, that noctua is too good!

I'd downgrade to a 2500k since it pretty much performs just as well as the 2600k for $100 less and use the extra cash for a better video card.

570+ all seemed sorta overpriced since they're newer. Any of you recommend a better card if I were to get the 2500k instead?

I wonder if there's even a noticle difference between 560 and 570. I think the only game that will stress my 560 is FFXIV on max settings. Might just stick with i7 for editing purposes + music software. Making dem beatz

Been doing more research on the GTX 560's and people have lots of complaints with heat and noise and dying pretty soon. I started looking into Radeon but I have never had a Radeon card before so I don't know anything about it. Are there any losses with Radeon vs. Nvidia? Compatibility issues with games or something? What do you guys prefer? thanks

Hell, you could probably knock $60 off just by going with a different brand than Corsair on the memory and PSU.

The cost for the PSU is already in a solid value range. Knocking $30 off that and I'd be leery of the product, and PSU isn't something to skimp on.

RAM though, yeah, can get an 8GB kit for less.

If you have a Microcenter nearby you could save on the CPU. They sell the i5 2400 for $150. You could get an i5 2500k for $180. In-store pickup only though.

(in the event that you can work an i5 2500k in, you'd want to get a better motherboard - H61 is barebones n' all, mostly lacking in USB/SATA ports next to H67, but the H series lack CPU overclocking options in general)

For a budget build AMD quad cores would be a better option, hex core CPU's arn't that great for gaming anyway (most games only use 4 cores regardless). Something like This $178 CPU+Mobo combo, although you could buy separately and get cheaper MB, but I don't think the price difference would be amazing taking into account combo with better MB. Might be a better AMD quad (dunno how viable tri is now) for budget, not that familiar with amd cpu

You can also get 550 Ti for $110 which is cheaper and I think faster than the 6770.

I would say get a better HDD, might as well upgrade to 1TB Samsung F3 for $15, twice the size and a faster drive, but you could skip if really trying to get cost down.

Just to check one last time, I think we're getting ready to order. Going with a 6790 which seemed to be the best for the price range (I could be wrong as I did it fairly quickly, but I was checking it vs http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html). Overall I think everything looks good, just looking for a second opinion. Also thanks for the info about combo deals and upgrades.

Edit: $6 more for this combo, slightly better cpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.728523
