Yes, but warranty might be crap, the SSD might be slower than what you could get and more importantly it could have terrible reliability and fail quickly. There's a reason people stick to a few manufacturers, it's because they have proven themselves to make SSDs that last longer and have less problems than other brands.

pcpartpicker.com will take into account shipping costs, so the only issue is time.

EDIT:: Slightly revised http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gJFG Changed to i7 because of rendering/fraps, but you could easily make do with the i5 in the other build if you don't mind videos taking slightly longer and want to save the $100 difference (will make no difference for gaming, *maybe* while recording FRAPs but I'm not sure). MB seems a bit better than what I had before, more USB/SATA3 ports and imo a better colour <.< Removed case as an Antec 300 would work for this build, it can support 11" GPUs (that 660Ti is 10"), you could get another one if you wanted though. Changed to 16GB RAM, slightly better set that what you had

You are so absurdly wrong, it is funny. There is a night and day difference between a good synchronous/toggle ssd and a shitty async one.

The cheapest ssd is still far better than even the best mechanical hdd, but when you can do 5 minutes of research (or just ask one of us that already knows), and perhaps spend an extra $10 to get something that could be up to 2x+ faster, you'd be silly to just buy the first one you find.

Yeah well it's the reason i'm here. I'm usually a stubborn and close minded idiot. Not this time though, too much money at stake. I don't know PCs well enough compared to most people here, and it shows.

I went from AMD to intel, from 2x8 to 4x4 memory, from radeon to geforce and SSD to 10k rpm HDD. I can only tell you this with words, but i'm very appreciative.

I wouldn't get a 10k rpm HDD if you were thinking of doing so. They are very expensive while offering rather minimal benefits over 7200 rpm, and with SSDs completely destroying them serve little purpose anymore. I would still get an SSD though as it will help with FRAPs (recording and playing off same drive can cause performance issues, so can recording onto a HDD at times) and in the general usability of a PC

you can also limit the stores that pcpartpicker is looking at for price comparisons, though that may be something you need to sign up for

Get a Samsung 830 for the SSD, they're rock-solid reliable and have great performance.

This was touched on earlier, but in order to get best performance out of the SSD you need to enable AHCI mode (as opposed to IDE) through the BIOS before installing Windows. It's possible to fix it afterwards, but not recommended.

No, they didn't have it available in store or for order, but the guy said he'd try to pull some strings he's gonna call me tomorrow. If they can't order it then i'll buy it online somewhere.

Grats on the build but return that PSU, it's a really crap unit I wouldn't put it anywhere near a build. Prices are all really high as well x.x Hate brick and mortar stores, it's $120 more before what I assume to be taxes (do they apply to the ppp.com price as well? Have no idea how it works in US)

Get something by Corsair or Seasonic if you want trusted brands. There are some OCZ and Antec units that are cheaper and still pretty good (and some a bit meh)

Hmmm, I think this would be a good deal and a nice upgrade to my 4850 for the price http://www.frys.com/product/6815106?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG

What's the recommendation for a good sound card to get a bit of a performance boost? I know sound cards help out a bit. Also is OCZ a good brand for SSDs? seems to be featured a lot in pcpartpicker.com

I'm no expert on sound cards, but i don't think so. Unless you're creating music or something, you don't really need a separate sound card, and in that case, you'd be going for quality, not performance.

    I'd avoid them.
