If you haven't held one in your hands, it is already as "lite" as its gonna get lol. If anything there would be an "XL".
Otherwise, not too many people bought systems, but sold pretty of games at bogo50.

I see a XL happen too at some point (ever since I saw how "small" the screen was besides a DS XL). But for the current size I fully expect within 2 years for Nintendo to jump on a more energy efficient 3DS design so the battery will be worth a fuck.

I expected the 3D to be harder on the eyes, but it doesn't bother me at all. They just blew it with the launch titles. I don't give a shit about any of them yet. Pilotwings Resort is pretty sad considering it's mostly pulled out of the flying game in Wii Sports Resort. I'm waiting for Zelda/Animal Crossing/something else interesting before I buy my own. Also, I'm not seeing a shortage here either.

Same. I don't really have any issues with the 3D setting, though I'll admit if I play too long in a poorly lit room it seems like I have double vision for a couple minutes every time I look up, but I've yet to experience any headaches or anything. SFIV is pretty good for a launch title though, and I really like the way they used the 3D on it, but yeah, really waiting for Star Fox and AC personally.

I am getting this via UPS today. I really hope I'm not one of those screwed people who can't play it. I tried the demo unit in Best Buy for a couple minutes and I walked away feeling dizzy ish. Though I couldn't pull the fucking unit away from the demo unit it was connected to, so I had to put my face right near it. The 3D was also on maxed setting. I definitely couldn't see it right because of the angle.

Got mine yesterday morning and I've been having fun with Rayman 3D. The 3D kinda fucks with you in narrow corridors, but it's an Ubisoft port so some general fuckery is to be expected. I mainly got a 3DS to replace my DS phat that has a battery life of about 45 minutes - 1 hour. Happy to say my flashcart works on the 3DS so I can still play all my DS games!

Picked mine up on Friday. Starting to wish I hadn't. How is everybody finding DS games running on it? The colours don't seem as vivid and it looks kinda blurry to me. When running it in the reduced resolution mode (Hold Start + Select when you boot the game up) it looks pretty great then, but it's just really small. :/ Super Monkey Ball makes me feel nauseous with the 3D on as you roll around the course, but the racing and fighting modes are ok.

Is Rayman worth picking up? It was one of the 1st games I played on the PS2 and I enjoyed it from what I can remember of it.

I just got mine via Amazon. I opened it up and first thing I did was a fingerprint test. I put my paws all over it, you can barely tell. It's pretty nice.

Well I didn't get any games with it, but so far it's pretty damn cool. The 3D effect is pretty fucking awesome. I got a $25 credit on Amazon, so I don't know if I should get a game or just hold out for something better. I'm contemplating Street Fighter, just so I can play something on it. Very cool so far though. In the long run, I know this will be an awesome investment. DS had dozens of great games, and I'm sure this will be just as good.

Everything points to it being certain DS games. Anything that has a lot of pixel art or the like (Pokemon, etc) seems to take a hit from the 3DS in slightly noticeable ways, but stuff like Animal Crossing, Golden Sun, etc, don't seem to show much (if any) noticeable difference.

I have that issue sometimes, but it's only when the dragon lunges towards the screen, for whatever reason I get double vision on the screen there pretty frequently.

Honestly for resell, holidays will be when the damn thing is sold out. DS was the same when it came out. Easy to find pre september, then bam, nothing.

Picked up the Cosmo Black one yesterday along with Pilot Wings and Pokemon Black. This is my first Nintendo hand-held since the GB Advance, so I've been having quite a bit of fun with it. 3D effect is pretty cool but I've honestly been playing Pokemon more. Still need to check out the AR games and mess around with the cameras. Absolutely can't wait till Ocarina of Time comes out during the summer.

Also, if your looking for a good carrying case for it checkout the Mircrosuede wallet Mad Catz put out for it. It is very sexy looking and it has done a pretty good job of protecting mine so far.

I ordered a 3DS which should arrive from amazon tomorrow or wednesday. I never owned a DS, so I'm looking forward to playing some older titles since the system seems to have a pretty deep library. Ocarina of Time is one of the big reasons I ordered it though, can't wait for that.

So far I've ordered Contra 4, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Dragon Quest IX, and New Super Mario Brothers. I also ordered Ridge Racer 3D because I wanted a game for the 3DS and it was prolly the best reviewed outside of Street Fighter 4 which I already have for PS3. Any other must haves I'm missing? I do have probably the biggest backlogs ever so I'm not in a huge rush to buy more but for future reference.
