You know, I either never noticed the "64" or just completely forgot about it being a remake... but I just got let down a little bit because I was expecting a new game. As much as I love Starfox 64, this counts as half a title along with Ocarina of Time towards me needing at least 3 solid titles to justify a 3DS...

edit: Luigi's Mansion 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3D will probably put me over 3, but we'll see when they come out

Outside of the two main Nintendo re-releases, I'm hoping for a new side-scrolling Castlevania and that new Animal Crossing that appears to be in limbo now. That might do it for me. I know Animal Crossing by itself will get my girlfriend to fork over the $250...

Shit, I didn't even know anything about Luigi's Mansion 2... and what? A new Paper Mario? I need to get in the loop.

Yeah, I have a soft spot for all of the handheld Castlevanias, with all of their retarded [MUSIC WORD]-OF-[SAD EMOTION] names. I wholly expect one... and I will buy it and play it because I am a sucker and it's the closest I will ever get to a new "Symphony of the Night" on a real platform.

I love the CastleVania games too. I'm probably blasphemous for saying this but i love the series more after they added all the RPG Elements like Leveling up and armors/weapons/etc.

I think Dawn of Sorrows is one of my favorites. I think thats the one you play as Alucard right? you absorb souls and use their powers... Can update weapons by using their souls?

5) What advantage would I have to migrate from a DS light to 3ds?
6) Can still play GBA games on it?

1) I don't think so..... but then again, theres only 2 games I would play... and one is a remake (zelda oot)

2) There are some decent games coming out, like the starfox remake....kid icarus....some metal gear solid game....a few resident evil games that look pretty good.

3) Games worth it to buy...... Zelda oot, and probably street fighter? I've heard the ghost recon is a ok game, and that splinter cell is junk.

5) No idea, besides worse battery life?

6) Don't think so...... DS and 3ds games only I believe.


(of course, I don't own the console.... but yea, i'm waiting to more releases before I buy one.)

As far as I know, 3DS supports WPA1/2, but only for 3DS/DSi-enhanced games. Vanilla DS carts will require you to set it down to WEP/unprotected to play them online.


I'm personally waiting for the 2nd iteration of the 3DS before I consider buying one. The battery life alone is my main concern.

I don't know why they would have evolved from shitty design of the DS to the better DS Lite and then even better when they made the DSi... then they took a giant step backwards with the aesthetic of the 3DS. I love the feel of my nice, clean, matte black DSi. I just wish I had DS games I cared to play on it. I'm hoping they make it look a little less ugly in the next 3DS generation... because that will probably be out before they have enough games I care about to buy one.

Thinking if buying a pre-owned 3ds, and a preowned copy of Zelda oot.

Play it during flights, and return it when I get back(as there is a 30 day return policy at gamestop)

Then I won't want to buy one for a few more months!

As far as games go Gamestop will give cash refunds if your return meets the criteria and i've done it on accessories but idk if the same applies to systems.
