I already had to tell my friends I'd be away so I could play FFXIV in peace. I have to get in as much time as I can before summer is over, and I have to go back to work.

I want to be clear on this point...are we sure about this? Because every other stage of phase'd beta 3 ended at 5AM EST on Sunday.

They said the beta closes the 19. The 19 is a Monday so yes I'm sure

Also, it would make ZERO sense to have this phase be available for all of only a single weekend day here for the west. So yes, it will definitely be available through Sunday the 18th and likely to end at 5:00 AM EST on Monday the 19th (though it would be pretty sweet if it were much later in the day on Monday).

That's pretty much how it's worked out so far. Starts Friday morning, ends Sunday morning. I wouldn't be surprised it this was the same but I'm more than glad to be wrong about that.

Yeah it's correct, I got my email earlier. "Thank you for signing up for the FFXIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Test on Windows PC and PS3! The final beta test will kick off on Friday 16 August 2013 at 9:00 GMT and last until Monday 19 August 2013 at 9:00 GMT."

Gmt is EST +4

So Friday 9-4 = 5am est. same thing for Monday

Korea and Japan have lots of department stores running those type of promotional videos all the time. I know one building in Seoul last I was there had a TV screen showing something every 10feet.

I hate the high amounts of currency Yen equates to. Why cant things be like 50 Yen instead of like 6000.

Anyhow, I am trying to figure out what those currencies represent. 9980 Yen is like $100 and 3680 Yen is like $37. We dont have anything in US FFXIV related for those prices. Is that pre-taxes? Do they even have the same taxing system we have? Idk shit bout Japan, sorry lol.

(I hope that is Japan and not Korea or something.)

But they are for PS3, no prices for Windows provided so maybe that's that?

Also, afaik they don't the same tax system as US (I assume you meant US), I'm not sure if any country does?
