Holy fuck it's like a disease.
Why in this thread, of all places?
Isn't obvious what Marauder's job will be?
The seventh and final jooob...
EDIT: In regards to ARC->BRD, I'm guessing it'll function similarly to COR (ranged attacker + support).
Miqo'te bard mmmm, wonder if they will get the "dances" like ffxi
I'd rather shoot (and whack) manually as long as the lag isn't there, but they should have went all the way I agree.
Yoshida at it again. He's not as formal as the reps so it's impossible to translate... lol.
That's what I like about him... Dude's got some American mojo in him. I'm sure all the bigwhig CEOs over there hate him for it.
Wow Yoshida went on a posting spree at about midnight JST. lol
Nothing really important I heard, some stuff about the speed of leveling etc.
"Jobs aren't finalized, class balances come first so it'll still take some time."
"After 1.19 hits I'll try to explain everything".
Makes sense to me, if overhauls are done at that point and they can finally focus on tweaking, adding smaller features and polishing. I wonder if we're hit with another 2 months of preparations for 1.19. If only dungeons are holding the patch back, I doubt it.
Yeah but at the end of the day this is the type of guy SE needed to lead this company out of the dark ages. He has played the competition, he has seen what works/what does not work, he has a lot of MMO experience that Tanaka does not. Unfortunately, I don't think the FFXI only MMO players are going to like this guy in the long run because he's going to cater a lot of content toward people who only have a few hrs to play a day.
I believe he's going to speed up the gameplay by speeding up the leveling process of all classes and focus on unique gameplay which is going to piss off 95% of the playerbase who still believe the year is 2003.
ZAM has another interview translated from Famitsu Connect-On Magazine (6/26/11):
http://ffxiv.zam.com/forum.html?foru...57715260405082
A few new things I saw, so figured I'd share. Visible hate meter, splitting spells into their -ga counterparts, and combining of jobs.
- 1.18 will include a visible "Hate Meter" in addition to the adjustments to the Hate Algorythms.
- Healing spells will be split into single target Cure and AOE Curega in 1.18.
- Ifrit battle goes live 1.19.
- The Materia system will be introduced in 1.19 as the main source of "uber" gear (ie better than NM drops).
- The finalized job names so far are: Paladin, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Dragon Knight, and Bard.
- In the future, they hope to add "Combined Jobs" with multi-class requirements (ie Conjurer + Thaumaturge = RDM).
- A summer event is currently in the works (FFXIV needs moar bells).
- The developers view the PS3 release as FFXIV's "last chance".
He just deleted his posts in the connect-on thread JP side or the thread itself was killed. And I believe you linked the same interview as before Vuitton.
Yeah we know the stuff in there.
Gonna compile the info tomorrow to OP (mainly whats in 1.18 and what's in 1.19 (and beyond)).
