Calling a spade a spade isn't trolling. I've yet to hear you ever talk about actually wanting changes for the game that wouldn't turn the game into XI: The After Years. You seem to have a negative remark for every proposed change, so don't play the wounded card. Feel free to ignore my point as well, as I know that providing a suitable rebuttal is difficult.
You don't rear your retarded face around here until make a random insignificant remark about a fucking earth-time UI clock being the least XIV's problems right now and use that as a reference to how I just don't want anything to change?
Do I need to spell it out for you that I want all of the retarded animation locks gone? Do I have to explain to you that I think quests and map exploration should reward exp? Do I need to draw pictures for you that I think battles should incorporate the environment and be fluid and shifting instead of 10 minutes of standing on a wyrm's toes?
Do I really have to explain this to you in order to get you off my fucking back and stop lurking around for me to post how I think people are making noise for some really fucking insignificant HUD crap instead of real game-changing content and mechanics?
Jesus shitchrist.
I don't rear my face until I log onto the site, thanks. That you think I'm here merely for your benefit is a compliment, I think? I don't know. That's on you, and c'mon, look at the facts instead of getting all huffy. You'd rather they not implement the clock, which takes all of 5 minutes, and is a standard in nearly every MMORPG you can even find on the market today, and you're against them implementing a hate monitoring system (which, as clunky as it is sounding right now, is still better than nothing) that, even in its simplest form, will be far superior to not only XI's nonexistent system, but also XIV's previously-nonexistent system. You're saying you're for things that will take months/years to implement; things you weren't for when the game was still in Alpha/Beta (back when they could have actually helped the game not only receive decent reviews, but actually hold a price-based subscription model), yet they try to put out a couple of quick fix changes and you're pissy that they aren't getting the meat out? Don't try to act like you're some champion for change all of a sudden; every person here remembers exactly what you've been like for the past 10 months when it comes to this game.
You need to settle down a little.
I would not care about the stupid clock if I actually believed it was going to be a 5 minute job. Who really believes it would that simple for them? Has anything proven to be a simple drag and drop situation with this game at all? They have done nothing but prove time and time again that they can break something no matter what they do. How does my cynicism towards Square Enix get transformed into being a purist that just wants FFXI-2?
Your reason for being on my ass was because:I don't babble on with my own little pipe dreams for the game because it's pointless. I comment on what's actually being proposed (Comments from the Devs!) and my feelings about it. In this case, whether it's important or not. However, if it would get you to stop being a douche to me constantly, I told you a handful of things I would like changed and now you claim I'm trying to be a "champion for change." Holy shit, man.I've yet to hear you ever talk about actually wanting changes for the game that wouldn't turn the game into XI: The After Years.
Pretty much this. Only in this game would adding a clock break something else.
I also don't get how someone would be adamantly opposed to having a clock in game... you know so you can see the time since we all know you can't ALT TAB in fullscreen.
Mioko just stop posting. lol
He never said he didn't want a clock in-game, he said that was a waste of ressources at this very moment, when the game needs far better improvements than such a little feature.
And I tend to agree with this. Give this task to a trainee or something if you want, but for everything that is holy and cursed in this world, let the real developpers work on what is really needed.
If adding a clock is a 5 minute job they would "ninja" in the change, let people bitch and not make it a discussion.
If adding a clock takes the servers down, then damnit man. They should give up now. EVERY other MMO can roll out tons of content monthly or bi-monthly yet SE can't roll out simple things in multiple months. I'm about 75-80% sure this game is forever doomed. At some point, they'll pack it in. I read something in an article that I thought was dead on and sad at the same time. Here's the link: http://kotaku.com/5803573/a-planet-without-square+enix Here's the quote: "They released Final Fantasy XIV, which, as I understand, is a fifty-dollar demo of game being released sometime in 2013."
That was an entertaining read, thank you. :3
Sigh, can't we see new info without all these idiots trying to troll each other.
Pot calling kettle black blah blah blah.
just checking up on last few pages of this thread and holy shit at mioko and his 2nd account. What's w/ all the raging from him? Somebody give me the short version since it seems like excellent drama
Devs>> Ppl wants clocks? Were on it!!!1!
Mioko>> SE should be focusing on more important things right now other than clocks...
Lucavi & others>> Uh, clocks are fucking amazing. Add them now. It'll take like 5mins lol.
Mioko>> 5 mins that could be spent adding better shit
Lucavi>> Why do you want this to be XI-2? Why do you hate change?
Mioko>> Stop trolling...
Lucavi>> Not trolling. I'm legit.
Mioko>> Angry list of stuff that should come before clocks.
That's about it just off of reading the last couple pages.
lol, i love it. Thanks blinds
and yes, clocks are awesome.. especially in a game you can't alt tab in when in fullscreen mode
Omg this is gonna make the game so easy. Why cant you fucking casuals just pay attention when you're vendoring your items so you don't accidentally sell your Kraken Club!?This was actually brought up to Yoshida recently as something that players have been looking forward to seeing, when he was told about the request he gave a simple "Got it!" in response. As for the direction they're moving towards, it'll be as mentioned above, a way to buy back previously (and accidentally!) sold items from vendors.
buying/selling items is a skill that separates the average player from the great ones.
