Or they could take out the shitty multi-class customization, and focus on making every classes viable and fun to play.

You go ahead and level to 42 for Foresight II and Featherfoot II. I'll stick with tier 1, thanks.

The difference between, say, Raging Strike and Raging Strike II is a matter of degrees (and let's be real, we both know there is no actual quantification on the difference at all). If you want to to grind out 36 more levels to min-max, go nuts. But having Ferocity instead of Ferocity II will not generate anywhere close to the same response as trying to join a party as RNG75/WAR15.

Furthermore, there's another major, gaping difference between the current system and SJ system: any time you spend grinding out "subclasses" results in abilities that you have access to on every battle job. It's not like XI where you grind DRK to 37 for Stun only to not be able to use it for 90% of your RDM playtime; if you grind ARC to 26 for Chameleon, you have access to it on any job, any time you want.

No official patch update today but Yoshi did post a rather beefy message or two about the crafting mechanics. Hopefully we'll receive translation soon.

Let's be real, we both know that you have nfc what quantification means. Yes, it can be quantified.

    You never disappoint sir.

Oh, can it be quantified? Sure. But that's not what I said. I said that there isn't any quantification on the difference between Raging Strike and Raging Strike II; please feel free to prove me wrong by posting your parsed logs.

It looks to me like your only argument for Raging Strike II is "well it obviously does way more damage, duh," which is no argument at all for the time investment on leveling to Raging Strike II versus, say, ranking PGL to 30 for Accomplice instead. And this is not an uncommon argument from you, since it's the same argument that you use to claim that Featherfoot I and Foresight I are "poop".

Of course, it's entirely possible that I've pegged you completely wrong and that your seemingly unfounded min-maxer claim that tier I abilities are trash is, in fact, based on solid data. If so, I eagerly await your reply containing such evidence.

I like how you edited that last part in there, you know, "just in case."

As far as the semantics issue, whether the increase is marginal or substantial, it can still be and has been quantified. It's not rocket science. Hence, you were wrong. I believe you meant to say that it was marginal at best, in which case you're right for the most part. There's a few that take a giant leap in effectiveness from tier I to tier II, so my statement that tier Is are poop was more of a generalized exaggeration since I do believe in min-maxing.

Now before you bite on the bolded part and start foaming at the mouth that I'm a liar because I'm not going to give you the data, give me a really good reason why I should reward your trolling by handing over info about the marginal differences between abilities that will be changed in the very near future repeatedly when you could easily put in a bit of elbow grease (like an hour of your time lewl) and get a pretty damn good idea at what you're losing between the two. Yeah, try saying that in one breath.

Kinda' a rough translation, but it sounds like you'll eventually be able to take a NQ item, and specifically craft it into a HQ item (much like XI had for the conquest gear).

Too bad its only a step up from google translate. Ugh.

But yeah 100% HQ mats = 100% HQ end result. And end result stat differs based on...catalyst and color used? Also, later on the end result of today can become a mat for tomorrows item, so keeping the HQ will become tougher.

Don't think that's what he's saying. It sounds more like he's saying that +2/3 will be eliminated, giving us just NQ and HQ. For HQ items, using full HQ parts will = HQ final product 100% of the time.

I think you were confused because he was talking about using the HQ mid-rank sabatons as part of the recipe to make HQ high-rank sabatons, but the translation made it sound, mmm, funky.

Well, good news at least. Whenever this game starts charging fees we'll have a better billing system. I know a lot of people hated the original billing system.

They use the same billing system as we do now. Their changes = our changes.

    Also, 2 more posts translated.

By the time it's worth paying for, I'm sure it'll be something entirely different again.

    It's still wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off.

Always disliked the Equipment Menu <_< Whereas most MMO's today have a live portrait of you character in it, we don't. Although it seems as if this is what they are alluding to as with the "mannequin" name. ^^b

Looks like it was completely unnecessary because you were just spouting unfounded BS. I am shocked... shocked, I say.

"Of course I have the data... but I'm not going to tell the likes of you!"

You want me to give you a reason why you should back up your own claims that tier 1 abilities are crap and that they (specifically: Raging Strike) have been precisely quantified? You mean, something other than basic intellectual integrity?

Love it when trolls take just bits and pieces and blow it out of proportion to justify their agenda, while at the same time missing the general picture. If it walks like a duck, and talks like a chicken, it must be Republican.

Edit: is there a way to block seeing posts, like a BG blacklist or something?
