Maybe this will drop the cost of nuggets.. I got an ARM to finish.

Transfer to Figaro and I'll give you 20 stacks of Iron Squares. OOOH WAIT...
Where is it posted that they said crafting will be changed so where if you use all HQ mats it will be 100% HQ? I know I read it somewhere, or am I just making this shit up? lol
You're not making it up, it's been mentioned I think a couple times in some Yoshi posts over the last week or so.
The only one I could quickly reference is here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...948#post308948
Basically, the difficulty/skill is trying to gather HQ base materials (ore/logs/etc) and craft HQ parts (ingots/lumber/etc). We're just hoping there's some translation issues and that it's still possible to HQ at a lower rate with not ENTIRELY HQ parts. I think we can just count on the idea that using all HQ materials = HQ result... which it should have been from the start to some degree.
I think it was already specified that there's no HQing without all parts being HQ.
Not worth posting since it's old news, but new lodestone topic up about BRs being removed in 1.19 and not coming back until the job system.
My hype has reached new heights with the amazing BR patch notes but it'd still be cool to get the next letter soon.
I don't know how you all can play this game. Logged in this weekend to do the swimsuit w/a friend (first time in like 8 months)... and I felt like I was still fighting the UI for every single thing and I loathed every minute of playing. Dunno how you all can stand this terrible game
Having played w/o overextended breaks since January. I have nothing to extremely bitch about the UI. Sure it can be waaay better, but once you get used to it over the course of months of playing, you optimize yourself to use it well. Just Like Every Other Game That Ever Existed. The people bitching about the UI still, as justified as they may be at this point, just bitch to bitch about the UI. It is a moot topic at this point, much like the topic of Mob Ranged attacks being a hindrance to Chocobo riding. (I went there.)
The UI was your biggest complaint? Not even a clever troll
People expecting this magical UI change to resemble anything like we see in WoW, Rift and eventually SW:TOR is just trolling themselves. The UI is bad, but its far from being so terrible you can't even play the game let alone function.
not trying to troll. I only plyed for 30 minutes and having to fight w/ the UI for combat was tedious.
Select a mob > cast a spell > on now the dps spell selects me (why is that) > press enter again > now it selects the mob > oh shit I pressed enter again by accident now I need to figure out how to get the action bar back up on my screen.
Why is it so hard to make it that you target a mob and cast a spell? why all the hoops just to do a simple thing? its terrible and i thought it would be fixed by now. It's been nearly a year since release and playing for like 30-45 minutes was rage inducing and I had no fun. Yes, all you playing for months and w/e have gotten used to it, but your used to a terrible system that is terrible
Feel like I should add this bit: I was expecting more changes for nearly a year of progress. Honestly the main battle changes haven't gone live, but it was very disappointing to me and I did not enjoy myself
A lot of people expect this crazy UI like we see in other games but the truth of the matter is we're never going to see a great UI in 14 unless they actually create two seperate UI's, one for PC, one for PS3(which they hinted at possibly doing) speaking realistically, I don't see it happening anytime soon. I don't believe they're ever going to shake the bad UI completely which is a shame.
They built the UI specifically with a controller/console system in mind, the only way they can possibly please everyone is by two different UI's.
People haven't figured out that if Katlan posts in the XIV section it isn't to make constructive comments?
Stating the obvious: The Thread.
Every complaint you might have about this game is being worked on, and so far I have very little negative things to say about what they've done (from an objective pov). The only real worry I have is the skill of the people working on the servers and the engine, which frankly makes up the game's true bottlenecks.
If September 2010 was the best they could come up with, there's no point in even trying. If they simply rushed it, few years of extra development should do wonders, with or without the current players holding the changes back.
