I guess they didn't get the nodes set on properly when they motion captured the real chocobo.

I thought the same thing. It looked really jerky and not unnatural. On FFXI it was much more fluid.

I've got the same feeling. As if the animation didn't have too many frames.

Oh, the motions are also faster. XI chocobo is chilling, this one is on steroids.

I don't really see anything wrong with it tho per se. It's different. Perhaps a bit too fast animations compared to the movement of that rental chocobo there.

Between the field of view setting and the different sizes it is kinda hard to tell how fast they go (taru always look like they're running faster, wider FoV makes you seem to move faster, closer-slower).

People sure have a lot of sudden opinions on how bad the Chocobos look considering they have been standing around town for a year now.

People sure have a lot of sudden opinions on how bad the Chocobos look considering they have been standing around town for a year now.

It's a signature creature in the series. It's not like it's been sitting around town not moving in every game. There are expectations with a series mascot.

Also, love how they whistle and bam, chocobo appears under the player, mount system ftw.

The music has been there since beta. I also don't remember anyone having issues with it back then.
It's the classic chocobo theme... what were you expecting exactly?

Just wondering if the horsebirds will be able to jump once they get the feature "implemented". I'd hate to have the same terrain restrictions in-place while mounted.
