You aren't listening hard enough then. It's tough having a differing opinion on a FF-centric forum, but I'm not the only one. We all have opinions and that's a reason we post here.

I don't think it's the opinion that gets on people's nerves so much as the repetition of the opinion. Personally I don't care if you love or hate XI, XIV or whatever game. But it's annoying if you keep saying it over and over again.
Draylo is annoying for this exact reason.
Grey tells us "Oh my god you're mad at me for having a different opinion"
Well guess what, Buck. You're mad at us for keeping our opinions.
Mad? I'm not mad in the least bit. I may not agree with your opinion on aggro-free mount but that's no reason to hate.
I said I was dropping this a few posts back but now you're just jabbing at me. Let's give it up before a mod has to come in and tell us to get back on topic, eh?
Source referring to the "live events"
"Super secret event, missed it?/limited space? Tough."While there are a lot of things that we can’t discuss as they are related to ongoing content, please rest assured that we are delivering your feedback on everything you’re all discussing and that your ideas and opinions will be reflected in future content. (Of course, it all depends on the content itself, so there is a chance they may not be reflected, too.)
Now, for what I can discuss.
The "Lamb of Dalamud" event is different from your normal everyday quest as it is tied to a live event. As some of you pointed out, live events are a phenomenon that occurs intermittently and unexpectedly. With both the inclusion of system aspects as well as aspects that in-game staff mediates, the time and whereabouts are uncertain.
There are other live events besides "Lamb of Dalamud," but how many and what they are, is a secret.
While there are players that would like to participate yet have not yet been able to, that is tied to the nature of this event.
As you have also mentioned, there will be Lodestone history-related entries that cannot be obtained, but I believe this is the same for all types of “limited time” content. With that said, I do not want to go into much more detail, but I just wanted to let you know that the live events will only be something that will offer Lodestone history entries and not yield achievements that can be missed.
Hope they don't plan on limiting player capacity like this when servers are merged.
It would go a long way if these live events weren't a secret >.>. I've wanted to get in on this but it happens at the oddest and most random times![]()
I got lucky one day and saw the Uldah one while crafting, but it's more the 16 man limit that bugs me (I think its 16 at least)
I don't consider it a "secret" as much as it's simply "not officially announced." I enjoy things like this that are random/sporadic/and carried around via player-word-of-mouth. It just burns up hardcore players because they can't plan on them, grind them, or do them when and where they want. They are designed to be happened upon... which is most of why they are fun.
[insert argument about "immersion"]
^ - And that's my beef with capacity cap. Word of mouth spread is fine and dandy, you can get the whole town/server to hustle on it if you're so inclined. Touchy feely woolen jazz. Capping the number of people who can do a limited time offer though is asking for more competition than is really needed for such a small thing, especially if their end goal is server consolidation.
edit: Even for behest (back in the day), who says no to more volunteer meatwalls to defend the border?
What is this "immersion" you speak of? Only weavers can be immersed. /nerd
It doesn't burn me personally (as hardcore or otherwise). It does sorta bug me as a paying customer that I don't have any idea when a "world" event is happening. From a player perspective, from all I've heard about this thing, it's not that exciting anyway. Would still be nice to access it though as it is part of the build up to 2.0 and such. Everyone should be able to play content related to that regardless of play time imo.
That Final Fantasy feelinnn~!
Whoa whoa whooooaaaa yeahhhh~!!
Just noticed that today but there's a reporter NPC that poped in each town asking for mole meat. Did that happen just today or was that around?
Started recently. It'll probably happen periodically for a while. Seems they all ask for 3 mole meats and you get 20 firework things. You can turn in as many groups of 3 mole meats as you want. All 3 of the NPCs are up all at the same time.
I've seen people with Magicked Cubes like a week ago, so it must have started at least that long ago even though I only noticed the NPC today (I haven't floated around town in a while though). For those unfamiliar, they are a firework-type item that just places a rotating logo of the local journalistic publication (Mythril Eye/Raven/Harbor Herald) over the target's head for a few seconds.
Prior to the NPCs giving them, there were role-playing GMs giving them out to people they interviewed. The NPC-version is relatively new.
Grey kept going like 8 umad posts longer than I expected, A+ would read again. First time this thread has brought the goods in months!
Now lets get back to the serious discussion of Anima, and how stuff takes too long.
If I lived in Eorzea I would certainly use the aether gates and all that.. people claiming it isn't immersive never made since to me. (Yes, I know you're making a joke... not talking about you).
I mean, damn... I would love to be able to teleport to work every now and again.
lol didn't think I was going that long really! BG cult of personality wins another battle Cel. Was fun while it lasted.
