The other one talks about making changes to the way action bar closes post-fight afaik.
Nothing worth editing the OP for~

I just read the ninja edit to the Company Page, and I really don't want them to introduce XI's relics (as relics, in XIV), I don't know, I'd like to start seeing some creative (and practical) things soon, because there hasn't been any since like... Oh.
Yea, 1.18's dungeon better at least show us what potential their vision of instances hold.
Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't expect anything creative from Yoshida..
Seriously... I feel like May/June is going to be make or break for myself. Game needs to have some solid dungeon designs, challenging encounters and combat better be fun for me to stick around or have any hope left for the game to make a comeback.
Yeah, don't take what I said the wrong way. He is exactly what the game needs atm.
While we may see what their intention with the combat is, it's still only half of what they are planning at best, + polishing aside. I think they'll need to ride on quantity of fixes for the time being, not so much the quality. IMO anyway.Game needs to have some solid dungeon designs, challenging encounters and combat better be fun for me to stick around or have any hope left for the game to make a comeback.
Shit's gonna be glitchy as heck.
They really need to quit adjusting the god damn HP bars for now and focus on content and battle system, I personally could care less about name mob/size/hp bars
but then what would the hp bar dev team do?![]()
Work on a better UI and UI scaling.
There is a team doing just that already.
EDIT: Hopefully the mods need to be approved by S-E. I don't want to end up with a situation where the encounters are designed around the mods.
I guess I'll add it to OP.
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...dable-UI/page7We checked in with the dev. team about their plans for custom user interfaces and we received confirmation from Yoshida that there are plans in place for supporting UI mods in the future.
AAWWWWWWW YEEAAAAAHHHH.
Well, considering their engine/client isn't even optimized for a delivery system, I don't see this happening before 2012 (if the world doesn't end).
Thats one thing that worries me is they're talking about stuff that seems to be so far down the line as opposed to things that are right around the corner. I would be so surprised to see cross-realm parties or addons for UI anytime soon. I mean don't get me wrong, that stuff sounds cool and all but realistically speaking so much still has to happen first.
It's nice their adding more features and shit, but I do hope they are remembering to constantly make sure stuff is PS3 compatible.
They'll just make UI mods PC onry.
We still don't know exactly how much stuff they have accomplished. Before they implement it. We only know what the "monthly patch" team has done.
Don't get me wrong, I doubt we'll see any miracles, but still, its been 3 months or so since all the "overhaul" teams started working on their respective features (with battle system probably lagging behind). That's gotta count for something.
I really hope so, because from the sound of it we should almost be expecting a totally new battle system in less than a month. And hopefully it'll be good enough to make me want to level a combat class, or otherwise just move on. Also, while I do realize 1.18 will only be the first part of the battle system overhaul, I would really like to know what they're planning for the second part. Being all mysterious isn't going to help much, and giving out too much information isn't going to hurt them either, it's not like "other companies" - wouldn't say competition here- is even going to bother looking.
I guess after the first part they can be more open about it... but they shouldn't recklessly post their concepts or anything. If the system doesn't end up working as they thought (which is likely), that leads to disappointment on our part.Being all mysterious isn't going to help much, and giving out too much information isn't going to hurt them either
The way I see it.. People are going to complain regardless.
