Why we haven't been getting info:
Greetings everyone,
Sorry for the delay in getting additional information for you all (us NA reps were out of the office yesterday due to a national holiday). I understand everyone is looking forward to more information, and as Triairy mentioned, Yoshida has been busy finalizing patch 1.21 content, like the job quests, and hasn't been able to be as active on the forums. Once the content is finalized, we'll be sure and let you know the date that the patch is set to go live in an upcoming Letter from the Producer which will be released soon.
That said, there are a lot of heated comments in this thread, and I would ask everyone to be careful in how they treat each other on the forums. If comments continue to be out of line, we will need to close the thread.
Company seals from Toto-rak/Darkhold items:
In patch 1.21 we are implementing a new supplies mission that will request you to deliver unique/untradable items for company seals.
The unique/untradable items dropped from the Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak, Dzemael Darkhold and NMs will be what’s requested for you to deliver, so dust off those Verdant Scepters and Ascetic's Tights and head back to battle against Batraal and friends!
More details on the items as well as how many company seals you can receive for delivering them will be announced in the patch notes before it goes live. We will continue to increase more ways to obtain company seals as we keep moving forward.
Job stuff:
Hey gang,
There were a few questions answered in regards to the upcoming debut of the Job System that we wanted to pass along. While this isn't the full list of details, as those will be revealed on Lodestone in an upcoming article, there are a few questions we have answers for.
A player asked if you can use job stones (tentative) while in combat; and just like changing classes, as long as you're in passive mode and not engaged with an enemy, you'll be able to switch jobs.
There was also a question about linking class weapon skills with job specific weapon skills; since you'll be able to utilize your class actions while on a job (for example, using lancer actions while playing as dragoon), you will be able to combo class and job actions. There was also a question asking to confirm whether or not you can wear job artifact armor while playing as a class; you cannot wear job specific armor while playing as a class.

I should probably find out which font they use.
Google-translated dev comment:
Which I take to mean when a supply/provisioning item fills up, it will become available for delivery again 28 hours laterPatch 1.21 is, if the target has reached the maximum number of delivery Delivery is scheduled to change to allow 28 hours after delivery again.
Why is there still no new info -_-
They're using all of their resources trying to find how best to break it to everyone that jobs won't be coming until 2.0 and the rest of 1.21 is delayed until mid-late March.
• They are waiting for 1.21 to go live and for people to experience it for a bit before they publish the next player survey (they have split it into two surveys; "gathering/synthesis" and "battle.").
• You will be able to macro job-change stones (seemed obvious).
• They plan on resetting provisioning/supply quests every 28 hours (instead of 1 week).
• Something is changing with the Airships come 1.22 (not sure what exactly).
• New races/genders will be available for retainers as well (probably won't be until 2.0).
Sounds like just one survey with multiple sections to me, from what Reinhart translated... not that it really matters one way or another. I can't imagine peoples' answers would change all that much before or after the patch (I don't recall any radical core system changes aside from jobs + HQ changes), but I suppose after the patch people might be less bitchy since they just got their new content fix.
I'd rather they delay the patch to April at this rate. Server merges should have been their priority. If people can't do content because they have no one to play with what's the point of adding content?
No wai, I hurried up for no reason and paid for the game now, I want the patch before my time runs out!! :<
I guess I'm just too stubborn to do hard content in a pickup group. I'm a no bullshit kind of player so I would just get pissed off at all the incompetent groups I'd be sure to end up in. I've only beaten Moogle once and I didn't even have the quest active, back when I was trying out for some new LS. Had to cancel my application once Yoshi mentioned server merges to avoid being a dick who joins, gets loot and leaves after a few months.
There's no reason merges should have taken over three months from announcement to implementation, it has ruined 1.21 for a lot of people. There will be no fun in doing 1.21 content a few weeks after the patch when everyone has a set formula for automatic success, it's just a loot grind at that point.
I really can't blame you there Seph. Pick up groups may work if you're bored, but for the most part are unreliable.
