GLA didn't need ballad because it could use Sanguine Rite for mp recovery. PLD vs. WAR is kinda of a hard balance since buffing one will almost always make the other lol tier, WAR is a pretty sub par DD when not tanking so I'm unsure how you balance it out without making it useless.

Never used that ability (as you can see I don't have THM leveled high enough) and I tanked fine on GLA.

GLA has a lot more abilities at its disposal (like Featherfoot). PLD doesn't have the same luxury.

Something along those lines, yes. Which is funny since the only knights (In terms of Japan naming, Paladin = Knight) that used white magic naturally were the FF1 knight and Cecil.

Yeah, funny how that works... I think PLD would do fine with just having Holy Succor if they had access to featherfoot and second wind. I'd easily give up Cure for just those two abilities. At least then they could get 140mp back per minute.

CON being one of the subs of PLD is purely lore-based really, none of the CON abilities are of any real use to PLD.

That is a horrible method to design a job around, of course.

Yeah, we got like barely an hour notice. I'm assuming it might have to be about the players unable to log in to be that important.

We got 15 min notice on my server. We were in the middle of a 5-chest Aurum run, made it to the last boss and had him at like 1/3rd HP when we all dced. Better than winning and dcing with Darklight in the pool or something though, I suppose. XD

Wonder if this maint is to fix problems like characters not properly migrating, people losing items (my friend and I both lost out Onion Helms and Hermes Sandals), and so on...

On the topic of the whole thing: is it normal that when I try to log in on Lodestone it says I have no character atm? :D Note: my acc is not active atm.

Oh sorry. I did check lodestone before posting but nothing was mentioned. I'm pretty sure I couldn't log in before maint even started though so that's probably one of the issues.

yea u cant login to lodestone unless u have an active acc but you can still look up the profile thru the finder.

Yeah, but it never said I have no character

Just that it's inactive. But I'm guessing it's because of the maint and merges and all that. I'll try again after some time to see if I have nothing to worry about ^^;

They purged inactive accounts during the server merge.

edit: Oops, only pre-retail Open Beta accounts were purged. If that's you, then your account is truly gone.

There's 2 people in my LS who didn't get transferred over who I was literally playing with the night before.

It seems like they really fucked some shit up with this one.
