Speaking of surges... everytime I use mine it always says I'm using the Tier 1 version but in the actions menu I don't see the other levels of those abilities.

when you use it again it goes to t2 than t3
Power Surge is +39/39/40 attack power and you also take 22.5% more damage from attacks with it up (7.5% per level), don't forget about that extra bit of added annoyance.
I wish they'd go back to the drawing board on DRG. Having a glass cannon DRK/BLM type of job that doesn't deal as much damage as a BLM and also has less utility than a BLM (i.e. sleepga, aoe bind, more AoE damage options to take care of adds) isn't going to work when most people think BLM should be one of, if not the best damage dealers, just because. If DRG has no crowd control abilities other than Leg Sweep (which is funny when people try to describe DRG's purpose as a "stun job" or an "enmity job" based on one ability for stunning and one for enmity, when WAR has an AoE stun and BLM has an enmity drop spell) it should be able to do more damage than a BLM that can attack from a distance in safety, tradition/job image be damned.
They need to go back to the drawing board on a lot of stuff. Redesigning current endgame events, class balance, and loot distribution (IE: Get rid of the shit drop rates and add a token system for raids, primals, whatever the hell else) should be at the top of their priority list.
Though yeah, DRG execution was extremely poor. For a class that's supposed to be potent in critical damage,, we sure are pretty lacking in that department outside of Blindside.
To add to that, I would love for them to stop putting single, predetermined gear in missable/skippable chests. Especially chests that are skipped for dungeon speed runs. Also, putting one or two class' equipment in the hardest chest to obtain in a raid (speed run) is frustratingly unfair.
I say get rid of chests in raids all together and have a more advanced token system similar to XI's Assault system that gives you tokens at the end of a raid based on your performance/criteria such as: Mobs killed, killed mini boss, killed main boss, wiped out all imperial soldiers, etc.
Shame they did something similar for Hamlet, but screwed it up with more chests/bad drops.
EDIT: I'd like to see them reevaluate content to. I know I'm asking to get flamed for this, but requiring parties for the job quests (Not really an issue for a 50 til the dungeon AF/final quest or two) and the last fight was also another idiotic move. I'm all for group content, but not when only the person with the quest active benefits from it. When finding people for a fight is more of a challenge than the fight itself, something's wrong.
Likewise I would have preferred AF to be akin to the main story quests: solo.
I just find story content much more engaging when there's not a bunch of ppl to coordinate and babble in PT chat while you're trying to watch dramatic cutscenes.
An an unrelated but positive note: they appear to have fixed gear macro misfires, I don't think I've experienced any since 1.22 launched.
Yeah, that's the main reason why I hope they keep the main scenario solo, though I kinda doubt it since everything seems to be pointing to the "need a party for damn near everything" again.
Ew. I'm ok with them cutting from full party to capped at light party (like mini-Ifrit), but solo is just... so boring. In order for them to make solo interesting to me, they'd need to add NPCs into the mix or make the encounter novel in some other way (scripted sequences, etc.), and that's probably harder than it's worth. Though I will admit, I think the WHM "fight" would be more interesting if it was solo where you had to keep a bunch of NPCs alive, perhaps while escorting them somewhere.
I don't trust SE to do solo correctly.
Well if they had AF fights similar to something light Maat I think it would be fun and a challenge. For stories it could be interesting, but I just don't like shouting in hopes of finding people just to progress in a story.
Sigh...
Good evening,
Thank you for many feedbacks regarding sanction.
Would like to answer the one we received lots of comments regarding the effect going away upon death.
The design of the gear with sanction was designed with high bonus effect.
For balance out the high effect there is a 3 hour time limit and also to have a risk where if you die the effect wears off, this was sanctions concept. For this reason we don't have any plans at the moment to make it where the sanction effect doesn't wear off upon death.
We are looking into other methods to put on sanction by releasing item through company seals or by reaching certain requirements to be able to get sanction from places other than GC head quarters.
Please understand the above and continue the feedbacks, thank you

Ouch, baransu is infesting XIV!
I would maybe let it slide if it knocked 30minutes off the duration when you died.
Really hate these responses.this was sanctions concept.
Playerbase: "Hey, this system sucks"
SE: "It's fine because it was designed to suck"
All I see.
If they truly wanted Sanction to be what it is right now, then they shouldn't have bothered adding it, imo.
They pretty much just said they didn't want grand company weapons to outdo other stuff. That's all I had to hear. That will save me some seals in the long run.
I'm getting fucking sick of their warped concepts of balance, time consumption and inconvenience are not tools to be used to justify actions in the game and are the exact opposite of the direction most MMOs are going.

Having played GW2 last weekend has really killed my faith in 2.0 as it is, but they're really not doing themselves any favours like this. We're pretty much supposed to be playing a beta, but they seem to be increasingly resistant to making changes based on feedback...
My GPU melted so I won't be able to play till the RMA is in... ;/
Want proof that this game is poorly optimized? An 8600GT gets *8* FPS at the fucking menu screen. And before you say "Oh it's an 8600GT. blah blah blah." let me remind you of what the menu screen looks like... LOL
