Oh I see. I was under the assumption was actually a quirk with the ability itself since it's meant to dump hate rather meant as a way to dodge attacks (at least based off what I've been told; idk I don't play DRG). I certainly hope you're right as that would make it much more useful come 2.0!

Yeah. I've used Elusive Jump to avoid cracks before but you need to hit it as soon as you see it (which is why it's a macro as opposed to the hotkey on the action bar) due to latency/ui lag.

Macros are somehow faster than action bar items? That seems rather counter-intuitive. I assumed deep down inside, the action bar stuff was just a pre-formed one line macro.

If you use gamepad it's faster than scrolling for things like Sentinel, Second Wind, other "oh shit" moments.

If you use the macros just for "oshit" abilities and the action bar for all the normal stuff it's just a matter of hitting L/R+X.

If you're using macros for short notice stuff like that you wouldn't be cluttering them up with stuff more appropriate for the action bar.

I use a PS3 controller. It's way faster to hit R2 then X (cause it's the first macro) than it is to scroll through my abilities to wherever Elusive Jump is. UI lag also makes it take longer than it should.

More or less, they just become something to do rather than something useful.

I used to only macro reaction abilities, but I've started macro a lot more now. I find I get a better response out of macros than the action bar. There were a few times that I thought I had used things like Blissful Mind, Invigorate, or DD buffs, only to find that when I pressed them in the action bar they didn't go through and I either died or did a WS buff-less..

Regardless, I think I know what you mean but it's usually just because I'm hitting things too quickly in succession even with it on (Blindside-Keen-plzdon'turn-Blood-Quelling-plzdon'turn->Howling).

so in roughly 14 hours (spooky) we should hopefully have some more info or at least a slightly less piss poor excuse for an official website, they could have left the info we already knew on the website (jobs/classes we currently have) and maybe a few "don't miss the last chance to fight X boss before 2.0 starts"

i'd give it a little more time than that.. about a little more than 9hrs (+10min) to the event start, but then its a 1hr thing, so if reports do trickle in during the thing thats good, but i'd say theres a higher chance info will come out after its over, unless someone is streaming or doing livefeed
