and explaining why our previously existing aetheryte attunement will become worthless
As long as I can raise up from the nearest aether without having to set my HP there in 2.0, I'll be a happy guy.
anima removed in 2.0 confirmed
Spoiler: show
I don't think it's unreasonable that anima will go in 2.0. I could see it working closer to GW2's system where you can teleport to set points and return there when you die. It looks like it'll be 1 aetherite per zone which I sort of expected considering the maps we saw at 2.0's announcement showed 1 and a bunch of relatively quick methods of moving round the map originating from them (such as the boat over the lake from the one in la noscea somewhere).
FFXIV website update:
http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/about/game/jobs
New Disciple of Magic and job coming but not revealed yet. *cough* Archanist
^ lol...
Haha sorry yea just there was a big contrevery because people found it on the website and it wasnt supposed to be live so they took it down then started deleting peoples comments on their facebook and removing posts on the official forums![]()
Gamestop, Best Buy, Walmart, and other retailers have removed Final Fantasy XIV from their websites. You can no longer purchase it from SE directly either. No stores local to me or anyone I know carry it now either.
Amazon is the only place I can find it for purchase.
Sounds like they're pulling the 1.0 client from everyone.
Newegg.com is selling the Collector's Edition for $19.99.
One thing I have been wondering about though. When 2.0 comes out, will there be a free client download from their website? Will we have to buy the game again? Will we have to uninstall the current game?
Idk maybe I am just thinking too far ahead.
Edit: I bought the vanilla from newegg back in march or april along with other things. Took my game like an extra week to arrive after the other things I ordered. When it finally got here the box was smashed in a corner, disc was fine though. That is the only problem I have ever had with newegg shipping. So you might experience the same if you buy a game from them.
ya and you get the free trial period and everything else
Thats a really smart idea. Pay like 10? 20? for the game now, maybe 1 mo for $13 and u get 2.0 for free if it works out that way.
Thats one of the reasons why I can't play a game like WoW anymore, expansions cost 39.99 and bam, you gotta take a 15$ fee that month on it and the game is just so stale you get bored a month later which seems wasteful for an MMO. Call me crazy but FFXIV being a cheap box can only help them at this point.
I fully anticipate the box to jump back up to full price on rerelease of 2.0, which is why they are killing the digital and physical distribution. Yoshi mentioned about a year ago that anyone with a copy of xiv would get 2.0 client for free. People had a year to purchase the game for 20 bucks and under.
How long do alpha stages usually last? I am trying to figure out how much longer anyone new has to get into legacy. I know beta start hasnt been released yet. But I am estimating Beta starting no sooner than December. Last I checked the game was still pre-alpha.
