Generally it seems that maybe Yoshida finally got them people to learn how to make games on PC. Well, in theory. We'll see how it work live![]()
Borderless windowed mode.... motherfuck yes!
No kidding. -_-; lol
From Reinharts translation:
For PS3 marketing plan for example aside from package there are download market and thinking there are other approaches for package such as PS3 exclusive but how will you market the PS3 version?
Y: With both PS3 and PC for the package we will have the ARR FFXIV out. Of course we are thinking about ARR FFXIV specials for early reservations or collectors edition but for those with current collectors edition it will be possible to upgrade to ARR collectors edition though online update. We are currenting making adjustments.
Oh word? That sounds pretty fucking sweet to me.
Borderless Windowed mode - windowed fullscreen. Fuck yeah.
Lol man, I can't get excited for borderless windowed mode ;(

I'm a little ambivalent about this. Part of the charm of crafting signed items in XI was that you decided who would wear YourName(tm) when you crafted, instead of "everyone gets signed"
Except the name will probably get wiped when you Retainer it. I know its tentative, but I think I know SE a little better than not to. That or provide the customer an option to wipe the name.
I hated the fact in FFXI I had to have a special item to name my crafts, so I welcome this.
I wish they'd make crafted items bind on equip already.
lol
Reading about how the controller UI works has me really excited to give it a shot... Might start to bridge the gap between mouse/keyboard and gamepads in regards to efficiency. You can have your combos in a sequence and start resembling a fighting game almost... Example: L2/Square - 1st WS > L2/Triangle - 2nd WS > L2/Circle - 3rd WS. Then have another 3 step combo mapped to the same buttons plus R2.
Pressing L2 + Left for Second Wind >>>>>> Cycling through the list looking for Second Wind.
I'm pretty hyped by this as well. Still, I wonder, there are 9 WS's used in rotation for monk, 4 WS buffs, and 3 abilities used on their timer. That's the main 16 slots right there, before recovery abilities (featherfoot, second wind) are added in. I think auto-attack needs a slot as well. I'm not trying to sound too down on this, I *am* hopeful that it works well. I hope the UI is responsive and changing between pallets isn't too much a pain.
Edit: I should add that ANYTHING that removes the targeting and action(cross)bar from directly interfering with each other is going to be immeasurably better for the game, so I am very thankful for this. I also wonder if there will be any different "feel" to this with an xbox controller since the layout is slightly different.
