Which would make it fall in line with the rest of the "modern" MMO landscape. Not saying its good or bad, but it is what it (potentially) is.
It would essentially be a Hearthstone... now if only you can set the return point to a specific location and not have it change when you touch another Aetheryte.
I'd keep it set to Uld all the time.
Essentially, yes.
I feel like the aetherite should be the equivalent to WoW's graveyard, which would make it so you can't death warp back to your Return point. Then the return should be put on a 15~30min CD on a location you set (an option on the aetherite).
Omg... Thats is absolutely brilliant. O_O
I think one way to get rid of botters is to avoid market having any kind of crafted piece of gear on sale.
High level crafters would simply produce/attach Materia to fine-tune equipments much like Sinergy does now in FF11 (unless I'm wrong).
You would be still selling NM drops probably (tho that would lead back to NM camp, which might be bad).
Then you'd have:
Player grinds his class and obtains gear.
Players join to face dungeon contents and improve their gear.
Gather classes collect raw materia which turns into profit and/or their personal stash.
Crafters improve equipments using materia, effectivelly creating best-in-slot pieces.
are there previews of 1.18 yet?![]()
Nope. Next letter ain't far away though, he'll update us then.
No sarcasm. The more this game copies certain things to make playing convenient and not cumbersome for players from WoW the better off it'll be imo.
Working on a quick shop of something I'd love to see in the game. Will post here when finished lol. Also, does anyone know what font is used for the FFXIV menus? Like the menu on the side when you press triangle?
If they make returning an option instead of automatic, then they should put raise/resurrect down to like rank 26. Maybe even resurrect can stay where it is and only put raise there, just so we can maintain the illusion that conjurers are useful.
I remember them saying there will be three tiers of raise, so ya.
Speaking of the JP dev comments, when can we expect a translation of them?
This whole turning crafters into essentially only enchanters would be super gay and piss alot of people off. I'm not even that much into crafting and I think it would be a terrible decision.
It's nothing more than an average feature and I understand your concern, but the risk of opening the game to a wider audience while a few players are already r50 crafters would turn the game into such boring monopoly that it'd end much worst than FF11 did. This whole turning crafters into essentially only enchanters would be super gay and piss alot of people off. The original design was to have players *make* their own economy by producing/selling all items, but that's one hell of a setting to balance and it'd keep suffering for any kind of population increase/decrease, like the stagnant reality it's as of today.
Triple Triad is so much better than Tetra Master. Make it happen SE!
From Bayohne:
Spoke with the dev. team about the discussion going on here regarding SP/EXP chains (and your ideas behind them). They wanted me to relay to you that there are plans in place for chains, but the specifics will be looked into once the main battle adjustments have been made.
One foot after the other, as they say!
My japanese is rusty, but the last couple have been about the anima situation. They plan to remove the Return cost in the next patch so that it is free. They're also aware the anima situation embodies the only method of transportation aside from running and hope to address in the near future (eyeroll). There's been some stuff about targeting, minigames, and LS housing, but all with similar responses: We're aware blah blah, we hope to address this one day blah blah. I imagine nobody else is posting about the japanese posts because they are as bland as the english ones
