Not really trying to prove you one way or the other. Just saying that I guess our combat system could be worse(lolcostume system). Personally as someone who's played near every FF(like I'm sure a lot of you have), I can say I honestly didn't enjoy X-2 and I thought it was weaksauce. It was nice to revisit a previous FF universe but aside from that I hated the combat and story.
Edit: Love the official forums. Being in a raptor grind and reading some of the stuff on those forums provides hours of entertainment.
Couple new Dev Posts on the JP and German sections. Nothing useful. Cept something about Calender months and Gods, damn you google translate. French section, confirming the change of Return anima cost to 0 in patch 1.18. SE y u no give new info?
FFX-2 didn't suck, I happened to enjoy it ty.
I also it enjoyed it for some time. I guess they could never beat the Sphere Break section of the game and get Mascot!
I happen to enjoy fishing in FFXIV. FFXIV doesn't suck.
Ontopic, the less they talk the more secretive they want to be about what they're working on.. and the more secretive they want to be the larger the change (and the possible negative outcomes of opening your mouth too soon).
XI team has a few features that need more than a month to develop, but nothing too large and most likely business as usual. They can provide players with the details much more freely as the result. Few issues arise, big deal. XIV team may not get to what their secrecy would lead us to believe (which is the reason why you don't start talking too soon) but we know they're trying. It's better to not meet expectations set by the players than to not meet the expectations set by the devs that 'promised' heaven and gave us a bible instead.
Every game developer does this, some more than the others. The usual approach is to develop the game in secrecy and then release it to the public though. Too late for these guys![]()
What I get from this secrecy is that they are banking on these new battle changes to 'save' the game and revitalize interest. If this fails, the game is done. They are taking their time to ensure it is accepted and do not want to promise the moon in case something doesn't work out and they become open to criticism.
I think Yoshida has already screwed up. If he intends to not say things he's not certain are going to make it to the game, he has been either way too open about the their future 'intentions' regarding the game or everything is going precisely as planned.
I know which option I'm rooting for~
Your opinion seems more like trolling seems every single time you come and post in this section its nothing worth reading.
This is another area that needs to be brought up IMO. Fishing is a joke to level compared to BTN/MIN.
Hopefully you're right. I am hoping the letter we get sometime this week will say at least 2 of these things will be added in June.so from that we know at least:
-equation simplification for all spells and abilities
-stats will be properly weighted and will mean something
-rebalancing of all spells and abilities
