Hello everyone! Pinurabi here.

As you will have guessed from the title of this post, I'm writing from sunny LA, far away from the ironfisted rule of Fernehalwes.

What's that, you say? Wasn't I supposed to be locked up in a utility closet, under constant guard by tonberry turnkeys? Well, that's precisely what Fernehalwes thought until he discovered, to his woe, that someone had taken his place on the plane to LA. I am so smart! S-M-R-T! Who's King of the Blog now, you pompous ahriman!?

But back to the present! Yoshi-P has embarked on a media tour, accompanied by a band of loyal retainers. Today we sat down with our comrades at Square Enix North America, and ironed out the finer details of the event. Here's a snapshot taken at one of our many meetings:

After the first set of meetings had wound down, I went on a self-guided tour of the LA office, and—

I'm against BoE but you have to wonder what will happen to equipment when materia is put in it. Will it stay bound or become a new unbound item? If the latter then surely people will just put a crappy tier 1 materia in stuff before selling it.

It would stay bound. In fact I'm for making sellable items bound once you put materia on it. Once something is bound it is completely off the market and will never become unbound.

I feel that this confirms beta won't start until after the 22nd.

beta could still start next week then he could talk about the beta situation in the live stream (like if the start was good etc)
but they would have to send the invits soon so people could donwload the beta...
and since we are talking about SE it maybe wont start until mid march

Yeah, they might want to do the next Live Letter when beta is already live, similarly to Alpha, but I still think that's being really hopeful.
